This entire week will be full of event and guest event coverage so if you often check the site from your phone you've been warned. Leading off the week of is coverage from the Hot Wheelz & Tirez customer appreciation show & shine that took place on Saturday at Hot Wheelz & Tirez in Mississauga.
Few people have been asking how we got the fronts so low.........
It all started with standard suspension's r1 coil over kit.
Used their bottom collars and top hats with the airrex double bellow bag over struts.
The issue that existed was the bottom collars have a tapered portion and the airrex struts are 1 continuous diameter. We machines both the strut and the bottom collar so we could thread the bottom collar as low as possible into the spindle.
Here ard some pics of the machining we had to do to make it work;
did some shopping today.
picked up a pipe bender, a flange tool, some 3/8" copper lines and some other goodies.
once i get the truck back i'm going to start hard lining the trunk.
i'll prolly go with aluminum vs. copper.
