Posted this for another Focus guy here, but your car is actually the same color/model as this. Motivation of how badass it could look:

The guy who made this car is also a member here so he may be able to help you as well.

I agree on avoiding the V6 swap. Better off boosting the Zetec IMO.

      Also x2 on joining Focaljet!

Good luck with the 4x108. Hopefully this thing turns out nicely.

There are conversions to get you out of the stupid 4X108mm which will broaden your wheel options.

          also joing Focaljet and Focusfanatics.com

both will supply you with a lot of useful info.

I agree. Using a proper width hub adapter to change your lug pattern will also let you space your wheels out, which you would probably have done with regular hub spacers anyways.

I have been looking into picking up a Duratec and ordering some Cosworth goodies to build my own engine. I have also been looking at wheels and I am just going to pick up my coilovers in the next few weeks and then put them in the closet until I come across the perfect wheels. Hopefully it won't take too long for those wheels to show up. I am really interested in getting some BBS RS' but the 4x108 bolt pattern means I would most likely have to get some customization done. If anyone else has some idea of where I might come across a set of rims I would greatly appreciate it. I am also planning on taking a trip to my local Butler Tire (local rim and tire shop) just to see if they can help me out with the wheel search.

There isnt going to be much out on the market for the Focus bolt pattern. i believe some volvos and such and some aftermarket but there isnt anything really out there screaming awesome. I currently have a set of Ford racing Black Rally wheels and the various SVT wheel combos ( 5 spoke and 6 spoke and the EAP wheels)

your best bet would be to get a hub conversion kit and broaden your options a bit.

check out FocusFanatics.com for more info

they should be able to even find what wheels would look good on a stanced Focus ( there are some over there)

Hub adapters, hub adapters, hub adapters, how many times do I have to say it lol. Fuck the stock wheel pattern, get a 1-1.5" width hub adapter, and whatever wheels your heart desires. Add 1-1.5" backspace and choose the right wheels, unless you want poke.

Choose the wheels, then choose an adaptor thickess to suit. Much easier than trying to find a set of wheels with a specific offset.

Yeah the Cougar Swap has been done, with lack luster results. Even with the Duratec swap, may not be what your looking for.

I would recommend trying to find a lower mileage Ztec, and build that puppy for boost. Unless you want to try and find 2.3 for your car, but that may be tricky due to low build numbers.I would sick with the Ztec, and look for a turbo kit.

Get on the Foci forums and do some sniffing around before you jump in to any thing major.

                      Good luck.

Ive seen these motors make a lot of power when built correctly, N/A. There's a guy from the Focalize forum that gave my truck a run for it's money at the 1/8th mile.

I am leaning more towards the duratec with cosworth parts built to be n/a more than a turbo build at this very moment because of the cost of the turbo kits... I have a Accord hatch that is going to be a turbo build eventually...

So, the focus almost had a horrible death today... I took it to work and replaced the bad motor mount, I didn't rack and lift the vehicle myself... and whatever idiot decided to lift it only had 3 of the 4 lift arms was solidly in place so the car started rocking when I was removing the mount. while it was in the air I decided to do an oil change... I was rushed through the oil change and someone closed the hood after I put the oil in and checked the level... I got half way home and smoke started pouring from under the hood. I pulled off the road and popped the hood and there it was, the oil cap was sitting there next to the hood latch. I was lucky enough to be next to an auto zone and picked up 2 quarts of oil and a can of brake cleaner. I am now trying to think of who's dumb *** it was that messed it up. It is now cooling off so the oil level will be easier to read...

                              Do. Your own. Work. Seriously.

Last time I let some jackass touch my vehicle they broke a bolt off in my block for my oilpan.

I was doing my own work, until he decided to close the hood for me without looking or checking to see if I was done. and it was one of those deals where I was working on a few cars at once so I forgot that I had never put the cap back on...
