  • E90: Not Tailored Enough

    Thought I would start a build thread after lurking for so long.
    This is my 06 BMW 325i;

    A one owner 6-speed I've been slowly working on.
    Over the past few months I have been working on the interior, adding the following;
    BMW Performance steering wheel
    BMW Performance SSK with alcantara knob and boot
    3M DiNoc carbon wrap all wood trim
    7" touch screen deck, relocating the climate control and heated seat controls

    Externally I have added some carbon touches;
    grilles
    front splitters
    CSL style trunk lip
    Blackline tails

    Up to now I thought it has been going pretty good, super excited to roll down to Tailored Seattle.
    Disappointment set in after I was very quickly pushed to the secondary parking lot; obviously my wheels are far too common and stance is nowhere it needs to be.

    Enter these

    Tires are getting ordered and work will commence massaging the fenders to hopefully swallow these beasts. Sizes are 20x9 ET20 for the fronts and 20x11 ET25 on the rear.

    lol at the thread title! glad getting sent to the general lot motivated you to step things up. if paired with some solid lows, the new wheels should totally transform the car.

          For a car of that color, new wheels and a drop can be complemented by removing ANYTHING remotely chrome on the exterior. I think I see some over the kidneys?

          Otherwise, you will have fun fitting wheels of that width in those fenders. But once it's done, holy fuck, watch out.

            The first shot was from when I picked up the car; the chrome grills have been replaced with carbon ones.
            There is no chrome on the car but the wheels.
            Luckily the rear inner fenders are fabric instead of plastic

              They both smell nasty when you start scrubbing against them though

                      Good time for a bump I suppose;
                      Still haven't gotten the new wheels on but have collected a stack of other parts that will find their way on soon

                          Awesome !!!

                          I'd love an airride too, but i'm afraid it get's too soft and not nice to drive at high speeds
