Thought i'd tell you guys about my 'mums' (you read correctly, my mums) golf 3 stationwagon. Initially it was ment as a stereocar, but after being almost finished with the stereopart I found out i wanted to lower it and sand of the hood giving it a nice rat look.

This is pretty much what it looks like at the moment. Still waiting for cash for new rims.
Thinking about ronal r10's but im still not sure to go with. Any suggestions?
I'm feeling the diamond racing steelies but some part of me dosent really like them that much as the ronals.

For the story behind this car....

When I turned 18 i found out i needed some sound in the car I was going to cruise with every day.

    First time ever using fiberglass.

    Subwoofer enclosures.

First finished boot. Everything is rebuilt now - look further down for the actual build

First ever doorpanels ive made. Torn them to pieces and started on new ones.

Second boot, just changed the equipment abit. And yes your seeing right, a Mcintosh in a car ;D

    The new build

    Strong enough?

    Batteryrack

Carputer, 12V ctek 25A charger, battery and 1.5F capacitor

SBI (Sapmi beareu of investigation) Approved the build ;D

    Custom fuseblock, cnc made

    Trunk all done.

136dBs, not to bad considering ONLY 500watts on the subwoofers.

    EXTERIOR

As I said, anglegrinder up in this

Rustsolution used is el natural rain.

Not low enough, and missing some badass rims...

Alot of pictures. but still, theres alot of work left. Rusting the whole body or paint it black?
Lower it even more? Anyways, peace out. Hope you like what youve seen so far.

You obviously dont know shit about carstereo. And high schooler? Dont think there are many high schoolers competing at eurolevel in carstereo? Runner up in the EMMA eurofinals, so it has potiental.

Either way, everyone has to start somewhere so why not start with something I had around and dosent cost me shit to work on?

not sure if the exterior is going to match the quality of the interior/sound system... i'll save my final judgment until the end product is revealed. keep up the work man.

Your saying something there.... Actually i'm thinking of rebuilding the interior aswell... However I _DONT_want people to think im copying rusty so I'll have to think out something cleaver before going to work on the interior again.

            Time will tell..

            ****** gonna ****.

Haha, the car looks like it was eaten then shat out again and it survives anything. This car has undergone moar abuse than a 1960s prostitute, hence the sled from hell.

Any tips on how to rust the rest of the car and how to stop it (i know you cant stop it, but atleast partially)

any reason why your only running 500 watts to the subs? seems underpowered for the size.

Think i saw your car this sunday, at Mekjarvik

I'm getting pretty tired of the "my rat-Golf with a rusted hood-trend" to be honest, but it's good to see some hometown represent on here anyway. I suggest that you slam your car, fit some old-school dish wheels and paint it in a fresh color.. You might just end up having the coolest mk3 in Stavanger

Oh, and your work on the sound system looks awesome

Sound system looks awesome, bet it sounds good too. Exterior of the car looks like poo at the moment. The rust is not cool.

Actually yes. I can load the amplifier down to 1 ohms instead of 4 but then it wont sound as clear because of the headroom the amplifier gets when its loaded in 4 ohms instead of 1 ohm. However, there is more than enough bass. 92dBs SPL, not to shabby really.

The car is pretty much slammed as far as it gets at the moment. Still waiting for my paycheck so I can get some ronals to slam it even moar ;D and about the rust, i agree with the "rust the hood" part but a part of me dosent wanna do the whole car. Still in a phase of judging if i should rust the whole car and put motor oil on it or paint it (mind you thats ALOT of work to some rust in diffrent areas -.-)

I disagree, the rust makes the car more a part of me, ive never been into shiny cars and shit like that. I like it straight down and rough.

At the moment though i'm leaning towards painting it matt black
