  • Need Motivation!!! lots of reading

    I'm on the fence.

~For those who dont want to read: 97 M3 4dr Techno Violet, hella stock except BC coils. M Roadsters rears squared 17x9 white et8 w/215/40/17s not on car. Because low offset going to be a PITA to roll and pull and not damage paint(paint is 9.5/10). Am I being a bitch and need to buy a eastwood roller/heat gun and man up???? or am I a realist?? and sell the wheels and buy something that fits.

Pics at bottom of write up

~For those at work and need to find time to kill: Life went crazy 4 months ago, Bro totaled my stanced e30 that I put my heart and soul into. I thought I would never love again, bought e36 techno 4dr m3. Out of no where Cirque du Soleil found me and hired me as a bicycle trials rider. Dropped everything school/work/cars/GF/friends and moved. I packed up m3 and moved away to Tampa Florida, in the hood(cirque pays for housing). No tools, no spare parts, no friends to help me, no shop hookups, no connects. After months of not playing cars I found a great deal on some new BC coils and then a schweet set of Mroadster wheels in white. Before I knew it I was salivating 24hrs about my m3. Now I have coils I cant install, and wheels that dont fit...smh So here is my fence. My paint is 9.5/10 and I really really dont want to F it up, but theses wheels need mucho pulling and rolling(et8 on a et35 car) to pull off the look. Is it possible? heat, patience, and eastwood? Or do I sell the wheels to a e28 owner and buy something that fits? Again I have nothing, all the shops around me are trying to charge me 100 bucks a fender and saying the paint will crack. Fender rollers are 250...take a hike. Plus I live in the hood and my car sleeps outside my window. In the hood you dont want a eye catching car and these wheels would do just that. Also side note my 1st contract ends in 3 months and I will return home to my tools and such. Should I just wait? I cant lol Anyone have any help it would be much appreciated.

    My m3

Some e36s with roadsters all around to prove its possible

smaller tires would really do a lot. 205/40s recommended.

Question is doo you have all 4 front roadstars?? or the factory staggered setup ??? if soo just run a smaller tire in the rear soo you get some good stretch and if soo you can pull those wheels off easily with a little patience and caress with a heatgun and fender roller

Thanks guys yeah I tried college but I'm much more focused riding my bicycle. Ah about the tires, 205/40s are the next size ill go with but I'm stuck with 215/40s for now. I just absolutely love these wheels and coming across a 17x9 square set with in pick up is just once in a blue moon. Your right I'll wait to get back to ATL to have a install fest. Question for people who have really pulled fenders, am I crazy? or can this be done and save my pretty paint? My contract ends in three months and there is talks about putting in a cirque dreams show in busch gardens in Williamsburg Virgina. Fingers crossed.

oh and yes I sleep next to them

SOOOOOO this is my final question can I expect this fender work and keep my paint? I will probably be buying my own roller bc I **** people working on my car. (remove fender sealer, clean, heat, roll, heat, roll, heat, but never past touchable....)

                what I want

no offense you're kinda contradicting yourself. you say you dont want to fuck it up yet still you want to do it yourself. i'd say either start small and do research. if you don't think you can do it without messing the paint then dont do it.

I understand but no one has said its do-able, I just want someone to say its possible. I would like to start on something not as nice, but I don't have that option. If you take your time and do your reading you can do anything right, right? Plus if someone messes up I'd rather it be myself.

Yes its possible. If its your first time with a roller, you will probably fuck it up.
