Nice progress so far! Gotta question: you're swapping a VTEC engine for a VTEC engine? Sorry, but im not familiar with Honda motors Where's the difference? Is the new engine from the 2004 something Civic Type R or what?

Its a jdm engine from an integra. And it has loads of more horse power plus a DOHC rather than a SOHC

Be ready for that oil pan to sit a good bit lower on the B18! And there's not really any room to raise the 1.8s.
Looking forward to seeing the progress, though!
Thanks man i really like your car too. Yea im scared of where the oil pan is going to be im going to raise it as much as possible and see what i can do to get it out of harms way.

Ill go ahead and post some of the future plans i have for my si... once i shave and tuck the bay and completely paint the car.. Then come a set of work meisters with a little bit wider width in the rear and a negative offset.. not going to say what color yet.. Im definetly going to have to get some springs with higher rates as well

Im also in search of a new lip if anyone has any suggestions i want it to sit a little lower than the SiR and paint it red.. Its hard to find one though cause most of them sit too low

I always thought that all VTECs are DOHC Wasnt it the two cams that gear into each other at a certain RPM that differentiates the VTECS from the normal 1.6 16Vs? Kinda confused right now...

Nope, VTEC actually engages a pin in the inlet valves, so that they are pressed in further, thereby opening the valves further, simulating an agressive camshaft. Hard to explain, check this:

So that's possible on both SOHC an DOHC engines.

                            Thanks!
Yeah, with my B16, there's like 7/8" to raise the motor. So I would assume that with a B18, any "wiggle room", so to speak, is nearly non-existant. I hope you have extra room, though! Stupid oil pans... Haha

And you want Meisters, too, eh? Damn. Haha We have quite similar tastes, it seems! And Meisters DO look perfect on EGs when they have some stupidly massive lips.

Yea im thinking of maybe getting some sort of aftermaket oil pan or maybe a skid plate idk but that thing would be scraping the ground too much.
And yea i love work meisters im getting so sick of these diamonds..
I like your car a lot its different than most egs thats what im shooting for as well..Looks so sick with the new paint
