  • Francois MKIV Progress Thread

This thread will be for showing the progress my car makes. Note that it is a progress thread, and not a build thread. The car is just my daily driver to get me from point a to point b, and there for all modifications will be pretty minor.

    Now let's get started...

This car has been bagged for the past year and a half or so. It started on a boc setup, then original airlifts. I sold the og airlifts around the time the Xl's were to be released so i could upgrade to those. During that time i went back to boc while i waited for their arrival, and ended up blowing a rear bag. At this point i just said fuck it, and went back to static while i waited for XL's.

Once i got them, they were installed. I needed more air line, so i just left the rear static for the time being, until i re-installed them yesterday. And this is where we begin...so far airlift xl front, ah2 rears, and my audi TT winter wheels. (yes i'm aware it's july, we will get to that later.)

    Today's plans...

Currently the manifolds are just open for the exhaust. I'm going to run lines out under the car today to make it quieter in the car when i air out. Also, i will be using 3/8" for the front, and 1/4" for the rear, which should hopefully make it air out evenly, but i have a feeling i will need to get a flow control to get it as close as i would like.

I will also be hooking up a flow control to the rear bags as they air up too quickly, i'm happy with the fronts though, so those are fine as is.

Now, about those wheels i was talking about....

The faces are out for powder, but there is a comparison of the old and new rear lips.

in addition to flow controls and dump lines, i will be also be polishing the second front lip. the other has already been done...then i just need to lace them up when the faces get back, and mount tires.

Slow day, but whatever. Lazy sunday.
