  • Scoobaru legacy!

    Hello there!

I posted a thread on here a little while back about buying an e30 and putting in werk to get it sitting nice. It has been a couple of weeks and I guess everything changed direction and I came upon a 2005 B.Spec 3.0r legacy (Liberty as it's known down in Australia).

I have one shitty phone picture to start the thread from when I first bought it, I will get some better photo's this evening but it's actually getting the coilovers wound up an inch or so because we can't register a car that is lower than 100mm to the ground. When it's registered it will be dropped on it's ass again so don't fear!

    So far the car has:

    BC BR series coilovers

    Brembo's all round

    19" 8.5 +48mm Advan Connoisseur's 225/35/19 Tires

Guards have been rolled and pulled a bit.

K2 Gear replica front bumper and lip (needs some work, fitment and paint is a bit sketchy but i'll get onto that asap.

    Carbon fibre grill

    Carbon fibre rear spoiler

    Front Project Mu Discs

    Cusco strut brace

Cusco front sway bar and A arms

    Perrin short shift kit

    Rear diffuser

Custom cat back with HKS ES Premium Cannons

Here is a shitty picture to get things rolling, I'll be back with better ones soon, probably at 4x4 status but will follow up with some more stanceworks friendly photos.

From reading that i assume you guys have legal restrictions as far as lowering and stancing cars is concerned?

Yeah man, your car must not be lower than 10cm (3.9") to the ground at the lowest point. So I will be getting it all registered and sorted and then winding them coilovers way back down!

                    Is that Jim's old car?
Still got basically every bolt on known to man on it?
And carbon fibre everywhere under the bonnet (hood...)?

Nope no carbon under the hood. Just grille and trunk spoiler and stuff. I might ditch the trunk spoiler for a new black one. Gonna save for some rotiforms now I reckon. What else can I do? I need some ideas.

Tint, lower (after your RWC...), turbo.

                        Been to subyclub.com or liberty.asn.au ?

Yeah I have been on liberty.asn.au but not subyclub, I will check it out. Turbo is on the cards later down the track, it's an expensive thing but something I am keen on. It will be lower very soon, and I was thinking of another set of wheels.. Maybe xxr 502's or something with a bit of lip. Can't wait to start changing some stuff around.

I have to ask, what do they do about naturally low cars in Australia in that case? 911's, Ferraris or whatever, I know some cars have to come lower than 10cm.

I think for cars that are lower than 10cm from the showroom it's ok because they are straight from the manufacturer. No idea how that works though.
