I also know for a fact that 10 et 0 is gonna have about an inch of poke out back, which I dont see. My 10 was et 8 and the lip was sticking out. My beige car? The one before the 242 was my first time stancing too, not a vaild excuse. I also built that car working 10 hours a week in HS. Dont use your money as an excuse either.

If your gonna try and lie to make yourself seem cooler, this isnt the place to do it. Go back to turbobricks. People like you are why I left the volvo scene. EVERY single person tries WAY too hard and then when people dont like it, they get all offended.
Im sorry if you cant see the tire stretch from the picture, or the fact the fenders are rolled and pulled pretty far out..How am i lying to make myself cooler? People like me? is why you left the volvo scene, i don't understand that in anyway. You said i wasn't running 205's and i am so of coarse im going to get offended...Because i got called a liar!
By saying that all iv done is maintanence and cut springs and spray paint is incorrect. Im not here to argue or start shit with anyone. I was just posting an update about my car and how its coming along. I know the whole yellow rim idea was atrocious but my car isn't at that stage anymore, and im tired of everything i do to the car everyone just goes back to making harsh comments about it. If you guys noticed in the latest picture all the yellow is gone! aside from the motor, which building and doing a motor swap i dont consider maintanence. I appreciate the constructive critism and will go out an pick up a decent camera so there are no furture dispute about not seeing something. So thanks and have a good one!

Volvo has a scene? You can be part of a Volvo "scene"?

I don't like this thread or where its headed. Not gonna do anything about it right now. Just saying.

I'm going to have to agree with Jeremy and Slampiece on their comments. I feel like you're building this thread just to get attention and since no ones giving it to you, you're wanting to act out. I like the car, always have...but you can't make everyone like your car. Besides maintenence and some spray paint, it's just a Volvo on cut springs. Just by putting up a thread and some pictures doesn't mean EVERYONE will be like zomgvolvosoawesome. You have to remember...most people dislike Volvos strongly...we don't have many people who would favor our cars over other people's. Build your car for yourself, not other people on here.

As far as your wheels go, your tires are way too big. Sure, you might have 205's...but how tall are they? 60's? I would much rather have a good balance than too much poke or too much stretch. I would really evaluate where you want to go with this car. Either do things right the first time or don't do it at all. I'd love to see you really push the limits of this car.

Im getting really sick of people with this kind of attitude when a few people dont like their build and they get all upset about it, most people ***** my m3 when i had it and it didnt every stop me from enjoying it....i think what would really help this thread is some half decent pics from better angles, hell most of the pics i ever take of my cars are with my iphone since im too lazy to take my real camera with me

Look, I appreciate the fact that you're going out on a limb and doing new stuff, but I'm really not feeling this at all.

What entails a "build"? So far, all you've done is lower the car a little bit, paint some bits yellow, and change the wheels. I mean, it wasn't bad to start- but the yellow painted pieces and parts just look... rice. If you ARE in fact running a 205 on a 10" rim, then that is the widest 205 with the tallest profile I have ever seen.

I'm not trying to **** on you or tell you that I can't appreciate what you're doing, but you have to get a vision, plan it out, and do it. Painting random parts, going with a super-mild drop, and doing meh wheels aren't going to gain you respect- it's all stuff than can be done on a weekend. If you REALLY want to make it pop, take a day and wipe all the grease, oil, and dirt off of your firewall, valve cover, and everything else under the hood- it looks horrible in the pics you've posted.

And please, for the love of all our retinas, either invest in a $150 point-and-shoot camera, or borrow a camera from a friend. The 1.7-megapixel photos just make everyone write off your work because it looks like crap.

ANYWAY, I hope you take this the right way. I hope you slam it on it's nuts, and clean it up- I love dumped wagons.

sorry to break it to you but he knows a lot more about fitment on rwd bricks than you do. maybe if you had a more positive outlook on things than people would be willing to help. If you continue with the "no one cares" attitude then it's true. feed of constructive criticism

Also, chop the springs and baseball bat the shit out of those fenders.
Fenders were rolled and pulled with a fender roller, I dont really no of anyone in my area then can shoot from what i know. I've found alot of spots that would make great pics but i am far from a photographer!
