It is true what the 318 lacks in raw muscle it makes up for in unkillable resilience. Also It makes more sense for me to hot rod my 318, as the two barrel carb, and modest power, I get 20+ miles to the gallon. Which is hard to compete with when she's a daily driver. Of course a 383 or 440 engine swap wouldn't be too difficult later on, seeing as how most came standard with the 383, and you can find them just about anywhere.
If all goes as planned today though, she should be sounding pretty mean once I get the headers installed and bring her over to my exhaust guy. It's amazing what 3 inch piping will do to the flow, sound, and power of a 318.
And those wheels are SEXAY. That's actually a lot like what I'm looking for. I think I'll check those out.Last edited by The Keegsta; 07-13-2011, 04:26 PM.

cool! never seen these before, it looks gansta. i like it. bring on the bags, it'll look epic laying frame. my vote is for some oldschool styled 15's and maybe keep whitewalls, but go for a fatter white strip. it'll suit the satin black nicely.sigpic

Obviously my friend hasn't been on for a bit, but he's been quite busy for a while (school, and a new job). So def has his hands tied at the moment, and with consistent garbage weather around the corner (this is the pacific northwest), his build will be more than slow. On top of that, it might be a while before we bag his car. But I figure I post some pictures of his car. He recently got some steelies with some new white wall tires. Keepin' it up for winter, hopefully drop it next summer.
Here are pictures of his ride the last few months or so when it was still nice out.
