      • future ITB update

If you do go the ITB route I might be interested in acquiring your wrinkle coated intake manifold.

I'd also like to know where you sourced the mil-spec connectors and if you have any more details on your harness modifications (lengths, wires used, etc.)

Keep up the good work, you're an inspiration to us all.

        • Genuinely can't get over this build! It puts everything I've done to shame and makes me what to start again haha.

          A real inspiration.

          We need an update!

          • thanks everyone. Not much of a major update these past two weeks. I wound up leaving my architecture office, as I had a job offer that I couldnt refuse for a company that is huge in the design industry. Better position, better pay, larger corporation, more stability.. not too bad. More hours though for sure. And I have to finish out some freelance work on a house that I am doing for a client on the side, so the car has taken a back seat for the last two weeks.

i did however finally source the right radiator for the fairlady! not cheap, but it will literally disappear completely! and thats the plan...

Congrats on the new job. Can't go wrong with more stability and better pay.

              Excited for more updates.

                • That's some good news! Better pay and stability is certainly a good thing. As far as this build goes, perfection doesn't happen overnight so we'll all be tuned in for more when it comes. I know I will be.
                  Sup. Call me Z.

                  • Putting a nice double or triple core narrower radiator where the old AC condensor was? Am I close? :P Love all the work you've done. It gives me inspiration for my Z.

Just out of curiosity, as I am an architectural designer working towards licensure, where did you graduate from school and what company did you take a job with? Your attention for detail is a thing of beauty.

                      • I know a few others have asked but I didn't see a reply anywhere above, where did you order your mil-spec connectors from?

                        Comment

                        • I got them directly from the manufacturer. Having a company aided in that one.. I have not finished that work yet, so I dont want to refer them until I know they are good... My friends have used deutsche autosport connectors in the past with good results. These are different though. These are actually Military spec with Mmodel numbers and all..

as for job stuff, all I can say is that I do not work for an architecture firm any longer... No money in working for most architecture firms, especially small ones. You have to be resourceful and think outside of the box to make any money in the design industry.. Luckily I have built up the reputation, and built a contact list (most important thing) which actually aided me in placing this job in my lap.

Funny enough my coworkers asked me on my first day how I got this position, because the only people in the office my age were the interns. haha. Now they see my work, so I guess that helps, but I am the youngest person in a full time senior position. haha

It is a Senior Design position for Global visual marketing and Store Design fyi at a large corporation. Big venture from my sr design position at a 7 person design firm
