Dont worry about the rotas ive been running a set hard in auto-x for 7 years not a issue one. These few cases i would bet was in casting i bet they got to much air in the cast. Stick with the 3tc make it nice or 4ag it. Only other option would be to rotary that bish. I am a fan of the shakos even though i saw your other wheel choice. Keep it as close original as possible...it will be bad ass when done when its all clean and stock looking..look at some of the best old skool jdm cars

I am going to make the car as close to stock (bodywise of course) as i can. I like my front lip that i made for it, I like the ride height its at now. I just have trouble finding one wheel that will capture the essense of this car. I like the Shakos, the aleicas (Hayashi Yayois), the Hayashi bombers, ahhhh so many choices!!! But there arent too many TE72 wagons left driving anymore. Thats why i love them so much. if i had the money, id bag the rear, but i dont have that moolah right now. but the body is staying stock, and i will most likely stay 3tc (mostly stock too, maybe forged bottom end and turbo... possibly 7lbs or so) since im not worried about my power numbers all that much. i just want a ride thats different.

There's really nothing wrong with Rota's, besides that theyre cheap. However, if you have the money, go real Hayashi's. Cant wait to see where this goes man!

Yeah I have been to the Hayashi Website a few times, but all japanese is hard to read hahaha. i want to go 15x8 0 offset but they have a set of yayoi and a set of techno racing too with a 14x8 with a -11 offset and idk how much that would poke. I know a 0 offset looks damn good but how much fender work would i have to do you make a -11 look good without too much poke?

Well if you know the current sizing of your wheels you could always use this: http://www.willtheyfit.com/ I know there's a better one somewhere, but this should help get you started!

Thanks for the Help!!! this totally helps me a lot. I really appreciate it because this is my first project that im tackling. ive done all the work myself so far lol (surprising seeing as i knew nothing of suspension work until i did my suspension on this car, and nothing of wheels, which is why im doing research now). but all the help im getting from you and everyone else is much appreciated. thank you

Glad about the whole stock thing. As soon as you bought the car you had something diffrent. In my part of the country i havent seen one of these on the road in years. Any decent looking old skool wheel would set it off. It just depends on how long you want to save for the "right" ones. Hayashis are very nice as u mention. Im allso a big epsilon mesh fan, watanabes would look good. SSR mesh would look nice as well. I like a thin five spoke on older japanese cars. So a oz monte carlo, some impuls even enkei rpo1 would look good . Lots of options out thereI was born with nothing and still have most of it left

Alright guys so a little update. Obviously, I lowered my car hahaha. But while i had my car on a lift the other day, i realized that i was just about sitting on my spline bump stops, and i was pretty much sitting on my differential bump stop. So, to remedy this, i cut the bump stops (for the time being). i will look into buying performance lowered bump stops later. This improved my ride noticeably. anyways, I have some pics of this. Enjoy.

You can see the spline bump stops in front with the cut pieces behind them.
