  • Daisy the Mini Coop

After years of loving Minis, I eventually wandered into a show room and found a Mini sitting there. Originally I would of opted for the supercharged 'S' model, but insurance was almost double so I decided to stick with the base model. She was the last first generation available before the new ones came in and a week later I was driving out of there with her.

This is where her story begins.

I have always been a strong believer that if you really like modifying cars you should do it yourself. Anyone can pay someone to do modify a car for them but where is the fun in that. So hence all mods, literally, have been done by me in my garage.

    How she sits today.

Here is a taste of what I have done.

Meisters are one of my all time faves and i love minis. I have drove these and the only thing i would do diffrently is the audio. Im a bit older and would want the car lighter then louder music. But thats what makes it yours and i love that you mod it yourself
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left

Yeah it is a bit bizarre putting wheels with a strong JDM/drift influence on a Euro Mini but hey why not.

Cheers! Took 6 months to do whilst balancing university studies and work. Sawing up sheets of mdf is definitely a good way to relieve some stress.

Thanks guys! Yeah the car is not exactly a powerful machine, whopping 118 hp. Its still not too heavy and I still manage to have fun with it in the twisty mountains near me. The audio system was designed to simply sound fantastic and be able to be covered completely to store wakeboarding gear and what not.

Cheers guys. Minuki: Your signature quote is spot on! I live in Australia and criminals can get away with some pretty light sentences even for things such as murder. However if your car is 100% drivable but just a bit too low you get slapped with a fine. Lame.
