Austin Mini 1000 '70

Regards from Croatia, this is project of my car..... Thanks to all people which helped me in any way with my car. We worked on them about three years.

Body: New front wings, front panel, floor panels, A panels, sill panels, rear bootlid, rear lower panel, doorskins, and lot of work on body.

Front subframe: 7.5" discs and calipers from cooper s, braided goodridge brake hoses, HI-lo (height regulation system) , repaired arms, all new bushes, GAZ shocks for lowered cars, upper brackets upgraded, new cones, knuckle joints, etc....
Rear: New cones, repaired arms, hi-lo, GAZ shocks, rebuilded brakes....

Body is painted in Old English White with black roof, so we started with work....


Rebuilded engine and gearbox from Austin 1300 with 2.9 diff and flat pistons....

ATS Classic wheels, 5jx10", et 15, flattened, painted and polished, with Falken tyres

I wanted a car pretty similiar to group 2 cars from '70 hillcilmb races and I made it. I hope that you will like it.

Beautiful, the back could do with a bit of a drop though, i know its meant to be slightly higher but it spoils the look imo.

Yes, I know it will look better if I drop the back, but I tried it and car is rubbing, scratching and bouncy... Mini is car with little suspension travel and standard height is better for public roads with potholes and gaps, I think I will raise the car about 3-4 cm...

I forgot, recently I bought the pretty rare wheels, BWA Sportstar, 2 are 6jx10", 2 are 5j, I'm looking for two more wide rims....

I hope they will look like these...
