Seriously. There's nothing wrong with being inspired by a story like Mike's cross-country trip and having the guts and conviction to attempt it yourself. I actually think that it's awesome that someone else wants to make the same trip. It always makes for a great story and a great chance for people to meet other enthusiasts along there way.

I say go for it. I like where your car is headed.

I had to drive 3.5 hours to work on it.... ..


the first day we spent 12hrs strait to swap in a 280zx 5 spd transmission ..... . . but had to pull the motor and 4spd,, cause we "thought" it would be easier


the second day I installed my shorter front coilovers, rear coilovers, new wheel bearings, bled the brakes .. . .. and tried some different wheels:

No way she was driving 3.5hours at that ride height ..... . . so I raised the front all the way up,, , and put the 14" Enkie Apache IV's back on

She was finally ready for the 3.5 hour drive home... .. . . front coilovers all the way up.. . . . back is half-way raised



Drove 20 miles to the DMV and back ........ . then 2 miles after the dude's driveway the throttle linkage fell apart .....



.... . some bailing wire on the carb ...., some on the muffler too . . . . . . and it drove 150 miles with no problems

i feel like it would be sooooo much cooler if it was just clean and parts of it werent rusted through.. surface rust is one thing.., but when its rusted through.. shit went tooo far
