I really love this car. I have always enjoyed older Jap metal, and this def takes the cake man. Instead of trying to be like Rusty, which there is nothing wrong with, continue with it how you have it and make it your own. It is a very unique car and will bring more pleasure that way. Keep it up though, bc it has come out amazing.

I'm not "trying" to be like rusty ..... ....... I just said I admire Mike's photography and was inspired by his epic road trip
I am kinda an outcast in the Datsun scene because no one understands why I want my cars SO low,, and why my suspension costs more than my rusty car
people give me funny looks when I say I don't want to paint my car ... . I will fix the really bad rust before it gets worse and undercoat everything when I take the suspension back out , ,,, but the original patina is why I bought the car, and it will hopefully stay like that for years with turtle wax every week ... . If I wanted a perfectly painted car I would have started with a different shell, I don't want a SR20DET swap,,, I want my car SLAMMED without a big front sump oil pan that drags on the ground
Stanceworks has really helped improve my photography , and I'd like some advice on cheap(ish) external flashes for my Sony A330 DSLR
the $25 LED cordless shop-light has been fun for light-painting, but I don't even know where to look for a better light like the spot light/soft box Dylan Leff uses
but right now I'm just trying to save some money so I can rebuild my flared 2 door that got completely parted out to build the ratty 4 door:
Those pics are from last year before I found Stanceworks and was inspired to buy a DSLR ... . . . . all the suspension off that car is now on the ratty 4 door
I traded the willwood brakes, JDM tailights, and chrome bumpers for the ratty 4 door...... and the 4 dr got the 5spd transmission,,, after I sold the motor, carbs, and header
I learned alot of what not to do with 510's ... . .. most importiantly I realized original paint is like gold .. . . even if it looks rusty,,, it is more valuable than a re-painted 510 IMO... . . those front wheels are the 16x8's that fit perfectly on the 4 dr with 215/40/16 Yokohamas
here is what the 2 door's engine bay looked like: .. . I know I could do a better job next time ... (hint.. hint).....
I really wish I didn't have to sell the motor,, , , but I got more than I had into it. .. . . . except all my time cleaning it up,, , and new gaskets

Dude, i know exactly what you mean, im building a 'rat' inspired alfa romeo and its basically frowned upon by alfa drivers, most being 'purists', shit sucks!
I love old datsun's and havent ever seen one like yours, it looks mega sick, keep it up. maybe someday ill post my build up
Till then get that oilpan scraping!
