What made you choose square beams rather than a tubular chasis if you planned on completely rebuilding from frame up? Does this add weight or will it make the car lighter in the end ? sorry if these questions seem "dumb"

No offense of course. I admire that you're going balls out either way.Originally posted by SD202 View PostWhat made you choose square beams rather than a tubular chasis if you planned on completely rebuilding from frame up? I'm not going to act like I know what I'm doing, alot of the reason I post this project is to get advice/new ideas.. Someday I'll "body drop" an E36 or E46 and ruin the world.. The Datsuns are just practice for how to photograph or fabricate,, this car will probably NEVER be safe/legal, but IDGAF .... I've driven weaker rusted out 510's
.... I cut out alot more weight in rusted metal than I've added so far (the whole "car" is probably 350-500lbs)

Okay, "now" this is starting to get fun ....:
Except I had to raise the car ....... to close the hood .....
now it's not even going to look low fully dropped ... FUUU!!!
Don't even say dry-sump it .... I need a smaller flywheel/bell housing...
