                • Those welds look... scary.

However, I can't knock you for what you've done. You've gone above and beyond what 95% of this forum would do, myself included.

                  Keep up the good work.

                  • I admire how much you're goin in on this car, serious aspirations good luck with the project!

That being said, make sure you fish plate the "Z'd" sections of the framerails. My buddy is building a C10 Chevy so I've had a lot of good looks at what it takes to do a full custom frame. Strength at welds is super important and there's a lot of stress on curved sections.

pic for reference example fish plating welded sections:
Lower your expectations, you'll be much happier.

                    Oh, and your car too.

The new frame rails are made out of 2x2x0.065 square tube.... nice and light,, but WAY stronger than what they're replacing

I will still add "fish plates" to the bends, and more bracing when I mount a steering box: ..it's NOT a frame, it's just replacing sheetmetal strength-wise

No 510 can really "drive" with the rocker panels lower than 4" off the ground ...... so I raised the whole rear floor 4",,, to drag rocker panel seams

..... that got old FAST ,,, and I'm moving on to smaller and lower things ...
