I dont dislike the idea of this being electric cart. i think a small engine in the front as a generator would be cool also and it will make noises.

You seem so close! This build is a HUGE part of why I bought my e30 and had the idea to start cutting, so much inspiration here, this is even one of the cars that made me addicted to the four headlight look.
Just weld up a floor out of 16ga and throw a motor at it, even if you can't drive it far, I think it's better to crank up a motor and say "I built this" than to point at the rusty pile of shit in the backyard and say "I done did some weldin'."



And if you quit we'll form a cult and find/torture you and make you stare at pictures of the car while you're being tortured.
