  • First Real build. VW caddy

Bought a caddy with a 16v sirocco motor already thrown in it, was used for stock drag racing, started work on it today, got most of the front inner wells shaved off, painted with some rusto so it wont rust or course....

More to come very soon! stay tuned! thankssss

Alright everyone, sorry about short post last night, girl needed the comp...

anyhow, i got this truck for 1500 bucks (running but without a battery) It was used as a drag truck a few times, so the whole interior was striped out (even dash tabs were cut off which makes no sense and is a pain in the ass). The front clip and fenders has rust that was going to be too much of a pain in the ass to repair. So my friend rob let me have the clip from his truck with he was converting to round head lights. hacked the old clip off today with a chisel of sorts and test fitted the new one. Sand blasting will commence after we weld up the new clip and drop the motor. anyway here are some pics. bags will be ordered from bagriders after i sell my RS's btw i have 17x7 and 17x8 memory fab redone Rs with white centers for sale to anyone reading

steelie wheel fitment looks pretty on point

alright yall, big lapse in update, not much to actually show, but we got the engine out, got a 2.0 bottom end for it, painted in black, all new internals, high compression pistons, new crank shaft. then ported the head a little bit and cleaned it out really well, new throttle body is on the way. Pics of the engine will be up asap, sorry it was already wrapped in plasitc bag when i took pics. other fender well is almost done being stripped and painted. half of the body has been sanded and fenders are done, bondo will be done next week.

sorry for the scattered run on paragraph. its late

and here are better pics of some of the stuff i already uploaded

and here is the huge amount of rust that was found. the whole drivers side strut tower needs to be replaced with a donor.

and some rust on the pillars, its about the same on both sides

and just the engine bay, it will be power washed next week

I agree, so much rust, but I have a strong passion for rebuilding rather than trashing and buying a newer one. this truck will be as good as new sometime soon, and there will be another *rare* car on the road. work is work is work, i got nothing but time, and it beats just buying bunches of stuff for my car and saying its done.

                          DO WORK

and thanks for the support and encouragement everyone, im so pumped
