Of course chris Ive still got the adaptors that eventually turned up for a B5 and ill probably almost certainly pick another one up at some point

Stripping off the underseal in the mk1

sorted out the lips on the RS001s with chrome powdercoat, these will be the road wheels and I cant be bothered with the upkeep on polished lips on this car

tried them on but they were only dry built

    then gutted the inside

    top mounts came

Picked up some revolution rfx to use with slicks for short circuits(tyres in pic.will be binned)

    got some carbon

currently just sat on the top but after the cage goes in the roof and cross spars will get chopped out

    mk3 bumper an ideal width

picked these up to use as long circuit slicks

sitting in the corner kinda unloved for a while

its been sat in the corner for a while because I picked up this cheap part finished mk1

wasnt getting the azevs in the deal which included a freshened up vr,newish coils, fully polybushed and 256 brakes and a fresh paint job but Id picked these ASC's up for the green car and figured id try them on

      the mounts got sorted out

and the bay which had been done a contrasting cream got done body colour

wheels got powdercoated a bright silver and tyres on

      engine going in

and got a wash once it was fairly complete

But I wasnt too happy with it,pulled the fk highsports off and fitted the konigsports that were meant for the green car(its getting slightly better stuff)

and the brakes got upped from 256s to 280s

and a bit of measuring and resetting later

      almost complete

seats are almost konig knock offs but are just budget bucketed recliners for now

and at my mates unit where he done most of the work of the brown cars build

I was hoping to get a couple months use out it before the winter kicked in but build issues like a bad loom set it back so long it was just unfeasible so its now parked up in my own unit :'(

During the year id had a good run at work and a long time want turned and the money id been saving for the green cars engine(fully built 20vT was planned)got used to purchase this....

        2003,mapped,box mapped,H+R coils,full Milltek,massive history

Plan was it already had the major bits id want done done so I wouldnt have to do a lot of spending and just enjoy it...

took it straight up the road from buying it and tried on wheels...

picked up a fairly cheap Gallardo brembo gt kit

got the option of picking these up too but possibly a touch big

got down to some driving in it,rattled up 8000 miles in @3 months

decided to go with colour coded mulliners

then discovered the coils were fairly seized plus id thought they were also a bit on the soft side so bought a set of AH flachwerk H+R races

picked up a pile of parts and we done a comprehensive fluids service

brakes had been a major issue on a pistonheads run....basically flat out for 400odd miles

        very cooked and nasty

All on but getting mega late

Took it home and filled it up and I also had a bootful of workgear

it was very poor took it back over too my mates the following day and washed it,measured it all up,reset it and then fitted some random 10mm spacers

after a short drive to let it settle

small hickup with a hare heavily into three figures was annoying

Gave it a damn good thrashing but its off for paint now, just before I took it into the paintshop

It got a wash before I dropped it off for paint btw lol. My gf followed me over to the paintshop in another lucky purchase. I got the chance of a car that was slowly getting prepared for track duties but the guy had gave up and decided he wanted another porsche. I was gobsmacked with the receipts that came with it, 2004 TTS, bilstein Pss9s, brembo junior brakes all round, H+R anti roll bars, fully polybushed and a 1.9 20vT with flowed head,gt28rs,water meth, sem inlet full down pipe and system, air intake etc etc etc

engine and seats going in the green car then ill use the damaged S3 from earlier to rebuild the TT to almost standard spec

also went to have a look at another RS6 for a mate but it had far too many issues for him to play about with it so he passed on it so I scooped it up as a parts car

and thats pretty much what ive been up to the last couple years since the red B5

Well for starters, WoW for remembering all this.
And then WOW for the ease you change cars.
I wish some of those was kinda finished though before you left is aside.

The other rs6 I bought has lots of mechanical gremlins and I picked it up very cheap. For the two headlights, front bumper, bonnet and the factory interior carbon inlays alone it was worth it.

Out of the cars I went through in the last couple of years most of them were meant to be purely for work. The A8 I was never going to sell but the rs came up and I had to sell some of the rest to afford it. The green track car and the rs6 are the only keepers really, the brown mk1 I saw the opportunity to finish off a car that someone had lost interest in and use it as a fundraiser to kick start my own mk1 love again and get me back in to working on my mk1 jetta coupe. Thx for the comments,
