The Quest to Stance a Volvo

john, im really liking your car so far. i cant wait to see it all together!

Threw some primer down so I could tell where the wheels were smooth enough and where still needed a bit of bondo.







one that needed some more bondo and sanding


one that was good as is.


threw down some more bondo to fill in the spots that looked off. Going to sand that down and possibly have them ready for paint tonight.

it's not totally done, but I'm done adding Bondo on some spokes. That's only sanding at 100 grit... going to sand it down to like 800 before painting finally. It's good bondo wise.

neither of those wheels were perfect, just that was one good spoke. Each wheel needed some touchup in a few places.

I'm going to order 205/45 falken 512's at the end of the week and might even have these on the car at the end of next week!

Thanks man! Hopefully ordering tires tomorrow if my paycheck comes through early enough! They're definitely better than I expected since they were cheap and I knew I had to get rid of those fake bolt holes.

Gonna have to wait 2 more weeks to order tires. On my way home from my aunt and uncles after work had a little under steer fun and might have to fix someone's fence. Car is remarkably fine. Ripped my lip off and the front bumper is sorta fucked. But I had a plan for a new bumper anyways. Got some scratches in the fender and hood too but the paint was far from perfect before so I'm not worried about it.



So pending what I have to pay to have the fence fixed will determine how far I am set back from having new tires and the new wheels on the car. On the plus side it looks super slammed in that picture!

Corner popped back in after this pic and the bumper took the only real damage besides the scratch on the fender and hood.

Nah I think I'm good. If it was a stock bumper I'd love it but I'm trying to stay away from the XC route.

Haha thanks. I think the white will be a pita to keep clean but will look sick. I'm the first person I've been able to find online to fill in fake bolt holes. There are a lot of wheels that wouldn't look bad with the holes filled. Really opens up options to some cheaper wheels.

Dude next time use liquid metal over bondo, bondo tends to crack when mounting tires onto the rims. Like the build so far keep it up!
