Found another Volvo member who had his RK-II refinished in a root beer finish, not sure I'm a fan of a dark color, but at the same time I found some pictures of the same wheels on a C30 in lighter colors that make the wheels look better.

Haven't decided what I'm going to do with these, but I really like the white, I got started on one whel today.

Picked up a triple square 8mm bit on my way home from class to take the wheels apart.

After hearing about how hard it is to split wheels sometimes I was surprised these were so easy. I pulled all the bolts easily with just a ratchet, then turned the wheel face down on some carpet and propped the sides of the wheel up on some 2x4 then just stepped on the back of the wheel and the faces popped right out.

Might split the other 4 tonight, just gotta decide what/how to refinish them and if I decide to sell or keep these.

Hmm, well they don't have anything wider than 8 in 18", the amount Of money I would spend on those is way more than I would want to spend on such a bland design wheel. I'm gonna stick with the wheels I'm working on and of course keep my eyes open for something else in the near future.

Yeah, I've seen the Heico Volutions a few times, the sizing is weak, offsets and widths are weak too. Plus, from the few people I know who have them they say they're super soft and are very likely to get bent. Not a good combo for my intent.

I was able to get them off with a screwdriver because they weren't snugged down. Probably going to find a different bolt to use for the long run if I can't find the tool.
