  • EP2 - The project begins.

Ok, so, I'm from the UK. I've just turned 19, and will probably have the shit ripped out of me for everything I post on here, as I'm new to the scene (this is only my 2nd car), and every thing I do to my car will ruin my insurance prices big time.

I owned a 2006 Vauxhall before this, which was my first car. I tinkered, had around 5 sets of wheels for it, had bucket seats, harnesses and so on. Then I went Jap.

So, here I have an EP2.

Started off fully standard. Now I've put EVO IV O.Z F1s on there, a short ram intake, a 4-1 mani, decat, full straight through system catback with a slanted 4" exit.

It's not the fastest in the world, but for me, at my age, and in the UK - it'll do.

So... The real progress for you guys starts here. I lowered the rear today. Me and my mate Ryan did the job in about 2hrs. The front is being done tomorrow, but heres a taster for now.

It's sitting around 80mm. I can go down to 120mm with adjusters in. Tomorrow I'll also be ripping the arch liners out to reduce rub.

Also, my current wheels are crap. I have an order of 8.5J rear 8J front Enkeis coming tomorrow in 17". Much better than my 16" 7.5J Evo wheels.

So, here's a bit of progress. Enjoy.

Oh, and yes. I have BIG plans...

    Peace, JWF

    Cheers guys

Suggestions, tips and so on would be great!

Edit: realised i put a IMG code of something I carbon skinned in there. May aswell leave it in now. Theres gonna be a hell of a lot of carbon

ditch the tinted tail lights.. just doesnt fit the bill for whats all going on.

im sure itll look much better with the front dropped and the rear raised up a tad.

youre hella reversed raked right now. lower the front a LOT more but beware of the crazy bumpsteer you will experience. I had an ep3 before, your steering rack is going to experience a lot of stress so be sure to keep everything greesed up.. invest in lower control arm extended ball joints, inverted tie rod ends, and there is even a bracket to raise the steering rack.

as soon as you go wide the natural camber that the ep's have will look great!

                Hi,
yeah i carbon stuff myself. It's a part of the dash. I started doing it cos on another forum I use they all use that shitty vinyl wrap. So people cover postage costs, and I carbon skin stuff for dirt cheap.
Places in the UK charge £65 per mirror cap... I charge £20. Etc...

That part is from the dash, I'll update more in due course

reverse rake is not a good look... I like the shifter and where its placed in the car...always thought that was a cool feature of this gen civic si

Reverse rake is being sorted tomorrow.
Some of it may be down to the fact that I have two large trolley jacks and the old shocks and springs in the boot
But I'm lowering the front to be even tomorrow.

                    Will update with photos

It looks like your exhaust was on straight, and now it is mounted pretty crooked. I hope that wasn't intentional.

What's with all the tuck in the rear? Haven't seen an EP2 in a while , best of luck with your build buddy

Car is sitting level now. No more reverse rake. Front is a little lower than the rear.
Had a bit of a mishap today... Here we go...

                              Ok.

So i started off with the O.Z. F1s off an EVO IV.

Then I got my delivery of Subaru Enkeis in 17"

The offset meant it wouldnt clear my brakes or clear the top of my suspension.

So, I went to get some Accord Type R alloys. Turned up, and the guy showed me a different set of alloys. I said these aint the ones, cos they were 16s. The Accord ones were 17s. He said sorry he forgot what ones had sold etc. The guy was genuine. He then said he had some Konig 18s in his car, that were getting picked up tonight for £400. He said I could have them if i want for £400.
I only had £240 on me, so I was like 'Ive come all this way for your mistake' so he let me have them. 2 good tyres, 2 need changing.

I fitted them up, they look alright.

Then I was like, they look too chavvy. So I'm getting rid.

Ending up talking to a guy and possibly buying some type r wheels.

I will definitely get new wheels, but which ones... who knows.
