Here's the strap I made for the battery box. It's not super tight but the battery ain't going nowhere.

Then with the awesome weather I thought it be a good idea to prime the bumper.

Super happy with how it turned out. It looks so good shaved. Ford should have done em this way from the factory.

Rolled the car out to do work and snapped a few pics. I should be getting my other two wheels back from my buddy this week. The blue does look good on the white, so it's going to stay for a while.

And the new found coils. I'm going to get the rears in tomorrow for sure. The fronts soon. They're Koni Yellows with F2 sleeves. I sure they'll go at least an inch or so lower, which will get me tucking tire.

Question for everyone....(see the rear coils in the pic above)

The thread sleeve just slides over the top of the shock and has a cap that sits on the top of the shock body. My problem is they're too short and I'm not low enough. So anyone have an idea of where I may be able to buy something like that? The original company that made them has been out of business for a few years.

Awesome. Thanks for the quick answer. Now I hope the fronts go as low as I want.

I didn't make as much progress as I've wanted to this weekend. But I got the battery cables ran and hooked up. I was able to get power to the whole car so that means I didn't screw anything up. Still waiting on my friend to mount my other two tires. Once he does, I'll be able to get the car back on all fours with the new suspension in. I got my intake striped of the old paint and I'll be redoing that soon. Bumper needs another coat of primer, I just need time.

I used an old positive cable from one of the swaps I've done to make the extension. Then I simply moved the negative cable and ground it on other places. The short end you can see in this picture, the long end I ran to a bolt on the transmission.

Later this week, I'm going to pick up some cable tie downs and pull the cable back out of the way.

Lastly heres the breaker in the engine bay. This worked out super well because one I had to make a junction in this spot anyways, and two I'll be able to cut power to the car if I need to. The battery is not in a easy place to get too.

FYI thats a super bad place to have your Wires running. Especially if you plan on going super low. They will get rubbed.

Very nice. Personally. I would run wires through the frame rail. Even with no inner fender wells you won't see or touch the wires.

I'm going to put the liners in. I got the wires nice n tight on the wall, so the tire won't hit them.

Thanks, but I'm not sure whats so weird and out of the norm.

                        So updates:
*I re-did a harness in the bay to clean up the route.
*Re-did some grounds for a cleaner look.
*Got the amp wire ran through the fire wall, to the battery and loomed.
*Got the intake re-painted. I came out pretty nice. Its got a slight orange peel to it, but eff it.
*Got another coat of primer on the bumper. Got a few areas that need some attention still but it should be ready for paint by the end of the week.
*Got the engine all put back together. I put the coolant and PS tank relocations on the back burner. I'm at the point where its going to cost to much for what its worth.
*Then tonight I was able to fire her up again. No issue's which is nice knowing my wiring is solid.

Plan is to have her running later this week. There's a local's meet this weekend and I want to drive my car.

The bumper will get painted next weekend if weather permits. Also I'm finally getting my other two wheels back from the tire monkey tomorrow. I'll get some more pics of her this weekend.

I also would like to know if anyone knows where I can find 1.875 ID springs in 6" length. The coils are low enough.

your work in the bay is proper but its a 4 door Focus....do you have a idea of where your going with it? i dont understand the CF hood and especially the trunk? trying to save weight to go the street/track car route?
and how do the blue wheels look good on the white black themed car?

i probably sound like an asshole but i can see you have hands on mechanical fab skill but with your lack of exterior styling no one will care to look closer. but even from the start of this thread the car is getting better-ish so good luck but this is just my opinion and im nobody so do whatever

I've always loved the look of CF. So yeah its just there. Plus the hood has some local history that only a select few care about. I love the fact its a 4 door focus, just because it gets all types of reactions, good and bad. I def know where I'm going with the car.

The blue wheels are just for fun. I want to redo them white, but everyone of my friends wants me to rock em blue for a bit. So we'll see.

Currant state. I got the paint for the bumper, but its been super windy. Seeing as I paint outside, not a good mix. Been doing research on different springs to get the lows I need. Also made my mind up the wheels will be going white.
