Thanks guys, I pulled the head off the car only to find my cams, distributor and everything was in perfect time...

        cams in perfect time

        nothing wrong with the pistons

        Valves seat fine

I guess my maf just died on me... I don't know. I found a new maf plug cuz mine was hagard and rewired that in and I have access to another maf if mine doesn't work. I am going to change the valve stem seals while the head is off and I am going to get another gasket set and a new ignition coil, cap, rotor, plugs and o2 sensor just to be on the safe side... Other than that I can figure out what would make it kick, sputter, run like a diesel and shoot flames from my open header out past my bumper...

Recap, I had good compression across all four, proper timing as far as cams go, proper spark timing cuz we hit it with a timing light and it checked out, and it's not a fuel issue because I was running rich... so to me it seems like a sensor issue that is reading wrong and it is dumping fuel...

Haha I'm sure it's not this bad if you daily drive it with an auto-x here and there but this is about 5 years worth of pictures and incidents. It's a blast to drive and it feels amazing on a track. It feels very capable and the only thing holding it back is the fact it's still na ka. Which may change soon... But yeah four or five years of drift events takes it tole I guess... It is a love ****, that is for sure... The love out weighs the **** so that's why I keep trying haha.

Haha yeah it's worth it... just need to up the power now...

I picked up my gasket set and am picking up a valve spring compressor so I can change my valve stem seals. I am going to take my head to my buddies part washer and clean it up before I put everything together.

I got a busy weekend... hopefully I can get something done.

Figured I would add a parts list:

                  Engine:

91 KA block with a 95 KA head
Hot cam swap (2 '91 exhaust cams, one on the intake, one on the exhaust. it's a 248/248 set up)
                  ARP Head studs
                  EGR delete
                  I painted my valve cover...
                  AEM intake
                  4-2-1 header
                  ISIS Test Pipe
Was ISIS 3in straight through race exhaust but currently have an ISIS GT Single after the wall incident
                  ISIS Aluminum Radiator

                  Drivetrain:
Stage 4 Competition clutch 6 puck sprung hub
                  Competition Clutch lw Fly Wheel
                  ISIS Short throw
                  Welded diff
SPL forged chromoly clutch fork pivot
                  Peak Performance Race Trans mount

                  Suspension:
                  Stance GR+ Pro Coilovers
                  SPL Tension rods
SPL Inner and outer tie rods w/ steering angle and bump steer spacers
                  SPL RUCAs
                  SPL Steering Rack Bushings

                  Brakes:
                  Bembo Blank discs
                  Hawk HPS Pads
"custom" drift button aka my locking mechanism on my hand brake popped out at an event haha

                  15x7 +0 Enkei 92's

                  Interior:
                  Striped sound deadening
                  Half interior haha
                  320mm deep dish wheel

                    IT'S BACK!

Finally got a spring compressor and put my head back together.

                    Things I changed:

                    Valve stem seals
                    Cleaned IACV
                    Head Gasket
                    Intake manifold gasket
                    Exhaust manifold gasket
                    Valve cover gaskets
                    Plugs
                    Wires
                    Coil
                    Cap
                    Rotor
                    MAF wire and plug
                    MAF
                    Fuel filter
                    Fuel Rail
                    Fuel Filters
                    FPR
                    Knock Sensor
                    O2 Sensor

                    YAY!

After I left the shop it was doing much better but it was still missing. Later I bought a new 02 sensor and fuel filter. Once I did the the car ran great! It has more power now then it has in a while!

                    As of Friday morning

                    About mid day Friday:

                    Engine together:

                    Bumper Painted:

                    Car ready to go!

So glad to have it back!

                              Yeah the enkeis are 15x7+0

@00BMW323 I completely forgot about those! I need to get some cash together... need to wait a while I am currently working very little because of school so cash is sparse

@raffi91 thanks man, I'm hopping to be able to get another one of those exhausts, it bit the dust when I hit the wall. I have a huge gt single cannon to replace it for now...

I just need a new header and some hangers and I can put my new exhaust on. December 12th is the next event and I can't wait!

Well the whole having no income deal and being in school is starting to suck really bad... luckily my friends are awesome and hooked me up with a free header so I can put my ISIS GT Single exhaust on I bought forever ago... once I get hangers that is. I had a little run in with the wall as most of you know... I am having to replace/fix just about everything on the suspension... Waiting on one of my applications for a job to come through... So much to do...

                                Until then

                                That is all...
