Hi guys my names Keith. I've been lurking around on this site, seeing all the great setups and since i spend alot of the time in the builds section i thought i'd throw my build on here, I first posted my tC that i was going to stance but, i boosted it.

Then i got some wheels..

these photos are from last week, still need tires, but this inst what im here to show you guys its my new addition to the mayham
Soo here's my build, so
Here's a little back story: Time goes by after finishing and driving the tC around. I start getting into heavy mods for the tC. Joined the New Jersey Chapter Scikotics club and went to many car shows and meets with them. Always thinking of what other project i could possibly do next. Time past ideas flew in and out of my head, but money just eventually found its way into the tC.
Fast Forward: to November of 2010. After opening a "business plan" with my father we decided to buy a 2001 Lexus IS300 from my bosses sister in-law for $1500. The main plan was to buy it, fix it, sell it, profit it. which meant more money for the scion.
Jump Ahead to the beginning of December: A strange idea cam barreling into my head like a swarm of hungry locust. "Keep the Lexus for my self and sell the Scion." this way my father makes back what he spent plus what he spent to have the Scion finished. Great idea right!? My father agreed with this idea of mine. so the mayhem began.
Here is pictures of the car in question.

fairly good sized dent

driveway O' Toyota

it may be a little hard to see, but the hood, it has no paint

the interior, yes it is automatic and i do plan to keep it as such, for a little while that is

184k miles wow!!

and pictures of its still beating heart

let me just be quick to say that i am funding this project myself. The only way my father has helped me is buy lending money to buy the car. The car is in my name [technically my first car i own]
well so after a couple weeks of researching endlessly to figure what I want to do to this car. I came up with a idea that is currently in full affect...
Yes its a 2jz, but i don't have plans to work with a 2jz at all. so after searching high and low I came across this beauty...

JDM 1uz-fe it is currently at my job right now because i want to inspect it before i go ahead with any other plans..and by far
>timing belt is new
>spark plugs were good but i changed them out for new ones
>dizzy's and wires are all tip top
I landed it for just under $700. It came with the motor mounts, both sides (where it connects to the block and the rubber mount) the engine harness and ignitors were adding in for free.
Now this up coming week I will be getting a trans for the car. One that I will pull apart and interchange parts from the IS trans. Creating a pretty beefy trans that should hold the power better. My biggest obstical I face is welding up some headers for this monster, knowing that the physical size of the motor is huge it beats an all steel block 2jz.
Shes growing muscle and losing weight..20lbs if im calculating right.
Well guys there it is. I'll be updating it when I can, the holidays are upon us so funding isn't all there, but I wont let you and myself down. Hope you guys like it, comments are always open.
Today I had bought the trans for the car so it should be coming soon given the weather.
