  • Vauxhall Vectra Design Edition

    Hi Stance Works.

My name is Vladimir, I'm 25 years old and I'm from Russia (South, Black Sea coast). I'm driving a Vauxhall (Opel) Vectra 98'', with 2.0 ltr (136 hp) engine and automatic gearbox. There is my first own car and I have bought her in 2009, that day she looks so:

There was absolutely stock car besides not in perfect condition. In this connection during first month to have this car I have replaced a lot of things and repaired a lot of sores.

After removal of all technical problems I start to do a styling. First step I had ordered front and rear alternative lights on ebay.

    And result:

By the beginnig of the spring 2010 my car looks so:

Second step was clearing the car from all badges and emblems and bought the eyecovers.

There were no problems with clearing rear cover and sides but I decided to make a front grill without "opel" emblem by hand made and there was a long story :

    ]

The third step was new wheels and lip spoiler as "BMW M-style". New wheel are 17", 7J, ET 37 with Pirelli Pzero Nero 215/45

Then I bought some mods for the interior.
    New chrome door handles

    New Vauxhall original front grill

New Vauxhall Sport steering wheel and covered some elements in 3D Carbon

Some pics of my and my friend's cars

Then the winter 2011 has coming and 17" wheel have been replaced on the original 15" with winter Yokogama IG30, 195/60. And I have started to interesting the low and stance cars. I crossed a lot of difference forums and blogs. I was really wondering when found Stance Works, I was spend a lot of hours to check this site and decided to buy the suspension with lowering. After many days finally I received set of "Supersport" suspention with lowering -55/35 and full set of "PowerFlex" rushes and bushes for my car

Thanks, It's very nice to see Russian here, but I'm a German and live in Russia

Ok, Stance Works. Next time (in first post) I have not enough time for posting full story of my car. Let's continue...

During winter coming I've changed my 17'' wheels on the original 15'' equipped winter tyres and removed tints from all windows

Meantime I decided to re-painted my 17" rims and I did it

Also have done a little bit work under the bonnet

          before

          after

And finally I got my new suspension and bushes

I was absolutely happy when I saw her after lowering

Now clearance is about 7 cm (2,5")

But my euphoria was not feeling a long time, that evening my automatic gearbox has broken And now the car is waiting for some spares for overhauling the gearbox. But meantime I decided to safe time and gave same parts for painting. Also I fit 17" wheels with 215/45 and was very wondering

In my opinion looking great but when i put into the car, the front wheel is touching the leading edge of a wing

How you think what I need to do? May be use tyres 215/40? And bend leading edge of a wing?

Maenwhile I received the spares for repairing the Gearbox and now waiting for readiness of gearbox for installation by this weekend. Also a lot of car's parts have been painted and tomorrow I plan to assemble the car after looking so:

As well as the brakes have been upgraded too. New drilled and grooved brake disks have been bought

                      front

                      rear

and brakes supports have been painted by coat paint in red color

Also a lot of new mods are under the way to me

Fair bit of work done there.

I'd get rid of the eBay lights, standard non plastic looking ones look much better.

To get rid of rubbing either use tyres with a smaller width or lower profile giving more stretch or wheels with a higher offset. Wouldn't have thought it rubs too much though from pictures.

You should look at some coilovers to close up 6 more of those 7cm of clearance :p

                          Some new mods have arrived

carbon battery cover with Vauxhall logo

carbon caps of coolant, brake fluid and oil

                          spacers for rear wheels

                          original caps with Vauxhall logo

                          high flow air filter K&N

                          Now the car looks so

I'm waiting for the some catchs for putting the front moldings and plastic thresholds

                          to be continued

Unfortunately for Vectra non-existing the beauty head and rear lights

Yes I understood that I need new tyres with 205/40 or much better 195/40 for my 17" rims.

To be continued don't change canal

Some new pictures were made yesterday

The car looks beauty but one question is still open - rims and tires
