  • GoC Mercedes Build

Hiya. I'm new around here. But I'm building a 1985 Mercedes 300D. Just picked it up for 300 bucks. So far I've put a new battery and fuel filters in it and it runs like a champ. Up next will be air, wheels, turning the fuel up and finally paint. Just have a few little things I have to do and it will be on its way. Keep an eye out for it at shows on the east coast. First appearance will be at sowo. Hopefully I'll have a good amount of updates showing the work. Holla.

P.s heres a pic of how it sits now.

Definitely going for the old school feel with the wheels. Planning on painting it nimbus grey. That won't probably be for a while. Ordering air suspension very soon.

I also have one of those, would really like to know what stuff are you ordering for air. And don't forget to take alot of pics of everything during this build. I would so look @ pics even if there's no explanation.

Been making some slow progress on it. Taking care of a few more issues I've found prior to doing more stuff to it. Needed a new floor welded in on the passenger side. I've cut it out and just got some metal to weld in. Someone broke a window out when I left it sitting out overnight at the shop I work at. Had to get a new window. I'll try to get the pictures of the progress up this weekend. As for the color I'm thinking maybe nimbus grey.

i would drive that thing with that paint job all day, wheels that are 10x more expensive than the car would be perfect

The paint would be the last thing to do. Been on the wheel hunt for a bit now.
