  • 912E plan/build

though not much work has actually started yet, it's partly because the plan hasn't been quite finalized yet.

fo those with no imagination, good luck getting the bigger picture on my build at this point. for those that do have some...

not sure how well some porsche slang will translate over but here goes...

10.5 inch flares in the front

11 inch flares in the rear

    a ducktail

    almost exactly this color scheme

    a ducktail

sideskirts like this, except metal instead of cardboard

    this front bumper

but with a grill like this

yellow on black cause i'm still chasing a light at the end of the tunnel. when i'm satisified i'll paint the car yellow. for wheels i'll either widen the fuchs it came with or get MB battles 17x9.5 I'm thinking 235/40

    any questions?

and no, the red car is not mine.
Hatchbacks, wagons... It's NOT all the same. You want in? Don't get a mazda 3, get a mazda 6 wagon. Don't get a wrx get a legacy wagon. and theres a reason the A3 isn't called the A3 avant... Scion does not make a wagon it makes a weird van, but no wagons

    Sincerely,
    The Wagon Mafia:Inner Circle
P.S. Is your tail a wagon?

    Show cars are lame.

I take that back on the fuchs. nobody makes all seasons for 16 inch wheels. anyone have any other suggestion for wheels. $1k max price for full set, i'm on a budget.

budget and 911 build go together as well as an open flame and a hydrogen filled zeppelin....

If youre going to have flares like that you are going to need seriously wide wheels and tires...also no allseasons...all seasons suck, for all seasons. Get some wide 17's and wrap them in summer rubber. Also before you work on the body or paint... ditch the lethargic 2.0L 4 banger for a newer 3.2L flat six with a G50 attached or one of the larger 3.6L aircooled motors. Theres no sense in having aggressive bodywork and a 4cyl vw motor from the second world war.
Im a Porsche nut and Id **** to see a botched build.

Goodluck on the build! Will be interesting to see your progress, forget the nay-sayers. Keep it clean and gnarly!

yes usually porsche and budget go together like soy sauce and yogurt... point being though it may not sound very possible it's actually not bad.

As much as I would like reall wide wheels, it' just not in the budget... but works out anyways. some combonition of between 9 and 11 inch wheels (no pun intended) is my idea for now in a bolt pattern other than 5x130 unless i stumble across magic. this i've figured, should be perfect since the only adapters i've seen for 5x130 are around 1.25 inches thick. 9+1.25+.25(spacer)=10.5 9.5 for the rear and i should be good.

plan for enough power to move the car is a eg33 subaru flat 6 swap. should be enough for a car around 2500 lbs. as for the allseasons rant the ones on my V70R have brought me home through the worst of conditions of snow rain and ice. some may be crap but I guess some aren't half bad either. If I was going to use summer rubber I'd just widen the fuch 16's

                I appreciate the thoughts/opinions/suggestions though!

I saw this coming from miles away. Eg33 and budget

As a Porsche nut, too, I will subscribe but I highly suggest you go with a Porsche 3.2 or a 3.6 to save you from a world of problems.

I'd like to... and might if I find a cheap enough engine. but chances are I won't find one cheaper then the cost of the swap.

                    :/
