  • Stanced trailer PROJECT

Just a little trailer project i'm doing at the moment.
I'm already most of the way though it, so im just gunna stick some pics up of the work done soo farr..

    DECONSTRUCTION:::::::>

Mini PCD hub.. but needs massive spacers to fit them properly. so theres gunna be a majorly wide track on this thing.

Chopped the bars between the torsion bars, and bent them upwards for some negative camber.

Jacking it up for some more lows (the trailer is staying FLIPPED so it makes sense)

    THeres the camber...

Test fit of a mini wheel to see how low it will sit.... (not the final wheels that i will be using)

Chopped the bars off so now it sits on the floor properly

now to redesign the bars and put them on the underside...

    filled in in the centre..

now the rear bars... theyre lower than the bars at the front, just for effect

    more updates soon

Thanks... some of it looks a bit wonkey/dodgey.. but hey, its my first go at 'making shit' (tm)

I actually have no idea.... i dont have a tow bar, aha.

Might look a bit odd on an alfa

Yeah would look abit off behind your alfa :L

Something classic or old school is what it would look good behind. Are you leaving that netting kinda stuff on the floor as it is?

Yeah, its "rat look". I'll just leave it until i can be bothered to do the floor properly, same with the dodgey loooking arches i made today..

its a small trailer, you want as much contact patch with it as possible. They already dart around enough with no load i wouldnt even try pulling that with a 4wheeler nevermind on the road with a car. lol

but isnt it because they have such skinny tyres and ride high that they skip about? surely if you lower it and add wide tyres (like he has) then it will help cure the bounce? OR is it to do with the indespension units?

This was for a college project too, although, only a short one.

Did you fit the hubs yourself?

spacers did the job, but not as safe as a hub on its own..
