  • Red Devil drift kart: 93 NA miata

So its been for ever since ive posted in here and thought i would start my build. Its getting there over time. More pieces keep arriving. Some may remember I used to own this slammed German cougar picker-upper,

Well I have since moved on to better things. Got rid of the MKV and bought a 1993 NA Miata to set up for drifting. Always wanted to go JDM and the sideways bug bit and I love the flip up frog lights on the NA's so I had to find one. This one only had 145000k on it and was in good condition with a very nice interior.

    Day 1: When being bought

So after about a month of owning the car, the water pump blew. Go figure. So i bought a new unit and new timing and accessory belts and replaced them.

Oh yeah like most of you, this whole thing is being done in a parking lot lol. No garage for me

Than wouldnt you know it the radiator blew, spewing coolant and steam all over the place nicely. So bought a Mishimoto Race radaiator and fan shroud. As well I also bought new coolant hoses. Gotta make it look good inside, the baller peeling wrinkle paint just wasn't cool enough for me.

    the hose has been fixed.

Than this showed up today FINALLY , goes in tomorrow with an oil change.

Tomorrow should arrive some new goodies from Hard Dog, and on the way is a stubby antenna to get rid of the "Tyco" RC look going on. Than of course lots and lots of other things. Stay Tuned.

Id be down but roto's are such a bitch. Spends more time on a lift than the road. Maybe a V8 , nothing like making a deathtrap more deadly lol

Thanks man, i miss the dub but driving in the rain in this thing and some twisty roads makes up for it

expensive? dude they are cheap. you can get sub 150k miles and a decent interior, paint, etc for somewhere around $2000.

This thing on snow would be epic. Kinda hard to find any as I live on the land of inflatable snowmen and coconut trees.

Dude you can find these things for so cheap if you find the right one and can haggle a bit. Hell i know of people who bought NA's for as little as $200. You can find a good, high mileage one for around $1500. Looks like I know where im selling my NA when complete lol
