Red Devil drift kart: 93 NA miata

So little update from today's fun. today I come to find that BC coils which go pretty freak'n low on other cars does not go low low on the Miata.

It's sitting nice and flush'ish (yeah I invented that word, I do what I want) much lower than that sneaky pic but not to the point of what I wanted. I wanted my MKV low. Will get pics as soon as I can find someone with a decent camera and skills. Not releasing full shots with the iPhone.

Found out I can get custom top hats made to get the coils to sit an inch higher but we will see. Does anyone with a Miata have BC's and have any incite to help? Please please, I miss kissing pavement. Also will see what it looks like with front lip when i get it. also hopefully camber the rears and fronts in this week while getting an alignment.

Yeah I own a 93 Miata with the same coils, Get ISC Racing top hats. I got another inch and a half.

Well hell, I haven't updated this in ages so thought why not show where the toy has gotten too over the last few months. The idea of turning this little toy car into a drift car changed awhile back, as I found a great steal of a deal on an 86 toyota cressida which is going to be receiving all of my attention for this new season (as well as my pay checks). So I went back to my euro roots a bit and added some JDM/VW love to the car.

Some updates to things that have happened to the miata as well :
-hardtop
-Bride seats are in
-Smashed my diff on a raised man hole cover after a bump snapping the frame bar holding the diff to the chassis. Upgraded to a torsen LSD
-New wheels (15x8 et0 Compomotives)
- Gutted interior
- Complete fly'n miata happy meal clutch kit with 10lb fly wheel.
- 5 Zigen header
-5 Zigen super lap exhaust (only one in the states I know of on an NA miata)
- Complete SS brake lines, slotted rotors and hawk pads
-BC coils in
-Raised the motor 1" and installed 1/4" steel skid plate

There has been a recent development as well, about 3 months ago I had an unfortunate run in with a rather large tow truck, whos driver claims I was " Too low to be seen" at the red light and rear ended me, and luckily I was in neutral and so he pushed me out into the intersection rather than into the rear of another car so the damage was pretty minimal. But as I would need new panels and those panels painted, I decided to drop the car off at a local shop before I left for my trip to Japan and have the whole car re sprayed a very nice and rare Porsche paint color (south of the border?).
There are a few other additions being added as well, as also the bumpers are being shaved and filled. It has now been 2.5 months since the car went in and I have not gotten the car back yet, but I am assured the car will be back to me this coming friday, SO keep peeled for what is to come. Im pretty stoked to finally see the outcome.

hahahha i think you did good sir. Ive never seen the gif. Thats an awesome gif. my face is the same as patrick's when i first saw it out of the garage back to its normal set up. so stoked to have it back. 4 freak'n months later
