  • 89 EXi Honda build thread.

Here is my project car, It was my daily one time, I fell inlove with it and decided to keep it, I love oldschool. Sud be pretty cool when its all done. Dont see them on the roads anymore.
Its a rare edition with 16V engien, first B series from Honda.. its a genesis of all twin cam honda engines. Anyhow. let teh pics do the talking.

Here it is when I got it 2 years ago.

    B20a2

After I had it for 1 week, the cam belt snapped on me, damaged almost all valves.

old engine out, in withe new temporary engine.. its a degrade, as its almost impossible to find a new B20, cuz of rarity.

New engine was serviced. New cam belt, new clutch kit w/ light fly wheel, cleaned intake and TB. new fluids.
    Custom short shift installed

And of course I lowered her. B&G springs 60mm front, 50 rear on KYB shocks.
    Waiting for new K-Sports soon.

    Before

    After

Looks abit high, but its 14" wheels. its low enough to scratch bottom on speed bumps.

Got some wheels for her, 17" 0n Toyo 2005/40 tires

Need spacers tho, dont like poke on the rear.

Didnt had my SLR that day with me.. here is crappy mobile shots.

    Stereo car

And the last pick I took this summer.

    Future plans.
    This bonnet

Need new paint, so it will have to wait for a respray of the car.
    Coilovers
    Step up barrel wheels
    Engine swap
    susp rework and brakes.

    More to come.

Wow, clean car to start with. I personally wouldn't go over 15" with it though.

Thanks. I agree with you, but I was thinking 16" step up barrels in the future. and slam her to the ground with coilovers.
the car is not so clean in close up, need some rust welding and new paint.

owned a 1.6 DX myself, don't do the evil eyed hood. Makes the whole car look cheap man
spend your money on more low, roofrack and a not so fake exhaust tip
Sorry for all of my opinionons on style
          I love the 3g honda's

Oh wow, didn't know you guys got a fail front end overseas.

Best part about the 3rd gen Accord here was the flip lights.

Yeah.. its a JDM/EDM option. I like USDM front when its down, but when they are up, I'm not so sure.

Yes, new exhaust is done, 2.5" no-cat stainless.. waiting for the swap.
Still havent decided on what engine its going to bee. have 3 different options I would like to do.
