  • 1980 Rabbit

So winter is here and I was planning on taking my Rabbit apart and redoing some things, changing some things. Then I found out a car I used to own was for sale.

Hmmm. I thought That car was clean.

So.. I bought it and decided to build another Rabbit.

I owned it about a year and a half ago.
    Looked like this
1980 2dr Mountian Green Early Westy.

I sold it to a friend to make way for another car and he started shaving the bay.
He lost interest and sold it to anther friend in town.

The PO did not like the early westy front end and cut it off. :screwy::banghead:

I picked it up Friday and got to work. Finish stripping, finish shaving the bay.

This car is clean never been hit. Arches are super solid, hatch is super solid, floors everything.

Plan is finish bay then get outside ready for a repaint. I am keeping the same color going to respray the entire car.

Unfortunalty The PO desrtoyed the early westy rad support and tossed it. So I am going to put a round front end on it. Just because I have an original OEM core support.

Got some new wheels which may end up on the car.

or may use my old wheels for now.

Going to rock a 1.6 hot rodded out in it and keep the interior pretty stock. (peanut butter color)

Pics of my other Rabbit for those who don't know.

Ok... I was gonna sell my 84 to focus on the new e30 project, but now I'll have 2 projects.

        Thank you.

PS - I have entire FOLDERS of your car on my hard drive. Your rabbit, the 79 Manilla, and that baby blue diesel are my 3 fav Mk1s.
