  • air build: mk4 gti vr content

well in the spirit of being a whore, i will share my air build that i currently have up on airsociety.net. my main goal is to achieve stance, so why not?

    the car-

grab a  ....there's a lot of crap to read
some of you know me from the mkiv forums on vortex, or through local gtg's...and some of you might know that ive been planning to bag my mkiv gti over the winter. i do have a build thread for my car but i figured i would start an air build thread to help keep things more organized for myself, and of course to share.

my original plan was to go with bombers and e-level...but i ended up buying a winter car (04 a6) so the gti could stay in the garage, so air ride funds went to that instead.

    front bags/struts

    airlift xls

    management-

accuair switchspeed controller and accuair vu4 valve manifold and 2 dual needle gauges

    compressor(s)
    -
    single viair 444c

    rear struts-

    koni sports

    rear bags-

    airlift

parts that i am ordering this week:

7 port 5 gallon aluminum tank
    3/8 lines & fittings
    gauges
    water trap
    power kit

frame notch and tie rod notch
    audi 90 bushings

i kinda sketched a mock up of how i want everything to go. including the hardlines.

yes i am deleting the rear seat. i **** (wow is the word h a t e really censored?) having people in the back of my car, plus my recaros are out of a jetta and its annoying to spin them all the way just to let someone in and out. i have another car for karting people anyway lol...the gti is for show

wheels are 18" artec turbo p's ...i will be rebuilding them with new 3.5" and 4.5" polished lips from either rotiform or tunershop. tires are bf goodrich 225/40/18. final size will be 18x9 front and 18x10 rear. im still working out the offsets so i can achieve proper stance. powdercoating the faces and tank the same color. polished bolts as well.
