Love this. One of my favorite E46 sedans.

Mine are perfectly flat all round. But with me, James and Will on the case, the car was always goin to be lows n wide wheel ready. Lol.

James used a grinder to get all the sealant out, not a wire wheel. So behind there is totally clean. Then with patience, go around the arch hammering it from underneath. Give it a go, but had patience or you will have wavy arches.

yeah i noticed you ground out all the sealant stuff but i couldnt tell how James managed to flatten them?
sam with the blue 36 on throwing stars grinded out all the sealant with a wire wheel which worked perfectly, and then he used a club hammer but it just wasnt getting them flat as we had liked. it certainly made a difference though, i gained a few extra mm clearance but i know when the new wheels go on im going to need them as flat as possible :/

Beemer is on point. Have a look thru my build and see how we did the rear arches on mine. As they r much beefier than vw ones.

yeah i dont want a sport kit etc as thats not the point of this car, its all about the air, stance [and soon to be better wheels] i may do a few slight changes along with a full respray, but thats it as far as body work will go
I just really need to sort the arches and get them flat as possible. now would a roller work? i had my Polo arches rolled flat and pulled but the bmw arches seem alot more hefty! :/

I'm such a fan. Please don't get a kit, it looks so great as it is. Maybe projector headlights and a better exhaust (the single outlet is kinda sacrilege) but it is on the money.

Yeah i think it has more stance, like no reverse rake. Hopefully when the new wheels come this will be solved. Looking at around the end of the month till i get them, pretty excited
