I cleaned the BM as in the last pics it was so dirty and covered in salt and re-took some on my drive way. since the last set of pics me and my mate Sam [owns a slammed 36 on throwing stars may be familiar?] grinded out the rear arches and took a hammer to them to gain me a few extra mm, and we also fitted a new momo 280mm and my old snap-off from the Polo

and this last shot is my ride height for 75% of the time

i drive it at this on most of my jeornys when the roads are reasonable, but when i know there are spots when im gunna slam hard i just pop it up, pass, then back down

i believe in 'ride low, park lower'

    UK Bagged e46, UpDown

Skip on over to page 7 for some nice shots from the SW:UK round 2 meet
My name is Josh and im from a town just outside London, UK

i currently own a facelift e46, iv owned it for 3 months now since i sold my old Polo.

Iv been a reader of the forums for a few weeks now, and though it was about time i joined up and shared my my current project with you lot. It was posted in the intro section but iv got alot plans to come so i thought it would be a better idea of posting a build

The kit was produced/compiled and fitted by a UK company called Havair. All i can say is they have done an amazing job. I havnt seen many examples to go off, and none over here in England so through out the whole process of finding some struts and sorting out specs it was very unclear what could be achieved

After speaking to Geoff at Havair he told me he could measure and design me some custom shortened front struts to eventually be produced by Gaz. I had a couple weeks to decide wether to get the struts made for 17s or 18s, and to be within a chance of laying frame they had to be as short as possible. After alot of thinking and chats with mates i took the dive and went for 17s with a 205/40 max.

There was no going back, anything bigger wont fit under the bag perches as the struts are so short, so it was a risk, and for the following 6/7 weeks, from start to finish, i was crapping myself. it could have turned out rubbish, it could have layed frame but then be still left with arch gap. the whole time i hadnt seen any other bagged 46s on 17s.

After a couple weeks of dropping the car off, i picked it and i was over the moon with the result. It payed off taking the risk. Geoff and James had done an awesome job. They said it was only possible with their custom Havair top mounts and bearings, otherwise it wouldnt have layed out at all. So anyone in the UK who wants to lay their 46, i suggest you give these guys a call. From what i found they were the only company who were able to offer me a complete custom kit and strut set up designed for an e46

The kit itself is 2-way electronic, with 6mm front lines and 8mm rears. Custom shortened Havair/Gaz struts, with firestone bags at each corner. Single Viair dual needle gauge, 2 x Viair compressors and a 5 gallon tank, and 2 remote key fobs to control the car from a fair distance which is a very neat touch

Sorry for the essay guys, i thought i would write it all here as a lot of people have been interested in the specs etc
more pics to follow i promise!

Also a cheeky pic of my beloved old Polo. Static and low as hell for 2.5 years
