getting good reactions from people who see it driving around? That's the type of car I'd freak out over if I just saw it cruising around in traffic.

do you mind sharing with me the exact specifics of your exhaust set up?
while my car is a 3.8 v6, i'm curious what it would sound like if I ran a similar set up as you. for reference, this is what a straight pipe with cats/resonators sounds like on mine..

I'd love to have it as throaty as yours.

Thank you for sharing this long journey with us, I'm new to this forum, and I'm all about stance, but this build goes beyond. You should be proud of what you got, and what you did.
I am proud and thank you for your many kind words. However, there are quite a number of builds on here that put me to shame. I just do what I can and what I dream of. The rest is all lost sleep!!

I'm FAR from "made of money". I go without a lot of luxuries in my life and I sacrifice A LOT to see my vision of this car come to fruition. When I bought the shell 7 years ago, I saved virtually every cent I made for the next 18 months BEFORE I did a damn thing. During the next 5.5 years, not much else changed. I still had to save A LOT. I hardly bought clothes, cooked all my food, rarely went out...I even put aside women for a bit cause they can be an expense as well. While all my friends took vacations, partied and tore up malls, I was at home designing and working on the computer to perfect the next concept. Trust me Bro. When I say you can do it, this is what I mean.
I learned this attitude from my father at early age. He held me head under water and as I tried to get air for a life lesson. When he finally let me go he said, "Son, when you want something so bad in life as much as you wanted to breathe, then you know you will get it. The rest is just bullshit laziness. There is no try. There is do and there is don't.
The exhaust tip's pin was sheered off completely and once the diffuser's left side support failed, the tip went airborne.

The exhaust is Mil-Spec cats into a y-pipe with a 9 inch, Spin Tech muffler - all 3 inch piping with next to no bends.

Spider Aligned.
Brought the Spider to one of my Bros (Johnny) for an alignment today. While the feel is a bit better now, it's not perfect and therefore, more correction within the suspension is needed.
I'll be speaking with a couple Alfa techs next week to see what they have to say.
Oh, and that last shot? That's my Bro Johnny doing his best impression of me getting out of my car and walking backwards. Y'know...when 5.0 gets nervous.

Dude, on AlphaBB, I'm at page 46 of 300 plus pages, wow, what a great build. You are right, everybody here has a uniqueness, on how they modify their cars, I love what heist is doing with his 2002, and I specially love what 1badg35 has done with is fairlady. But you my friend, you have taken a step above, and modified the car, not just slapping some rims and camber. But extending door panels, modifying the hood, etc, etc. What a great build. All of the builds here a re unique to the individual, and not everything appeals to everybody. To me, your ride is bad ass, just like heist, and 1badg35. Passion driven individuals. You guys see a vision, and go for it. Amazing, and inspiring to others that think that they can't do it. Time to start saving money.

Spider Update
Took the Spider back to the alignment shop and got her dialed in some more after completing more testing. Thanks to Max at Alfaholics for guiding me and Short for very crucial info that I needed. Respect Bros!
Final numbers are in and here is what we were able to get:
Caster: +3.1
Camber: -0.5
Toe: +0.08
This is all function. No stance taken into consideration.
Yeah, you read that right. 3.1 positive caster on the Spider. Many thought it would be impossible for me to get anywhere near factory specs of +1.5-2. But with the widened wells and flares, the Spider shows no weakness in superseding factory specs for castor - something VERY difficult to do on lowered cars with larger rims and still have a FULL turning radius with ZERO rubbing on the inner fender. I was so elated we were able to get those numbers that I forgot to take any pics. I just climbed in and drove off to test the new numbers. She is so solid, it's crazy! The watts link, rear adjustable rear sway and 50% shimmed LSD have that rear end PLANTED. I actually could not put the rear out on corners. She just hunkered down and tracked the city streets!!
I then stopped by another of my a connec garage to do the emissions. However, the cams have such a nasty overlap that they would not hold the revs stable enough within the guide spots for the allotted time needed to test. Not to mention the ITB's giving it's own hell to the process. No worries, I know of another garage that has newer equipment to catch the rpm signal easier and will arrive with the Spider hotter so the revs will settle a bit more.
Other than that, my tech said he was going deaf and could not hold the prong any longer to catch the rpm signal!!

Update
Brought the Spider by Tony's for a some extra support on the pan at the cross member. Testing continues and she is getting dialed in more and more.
I adjusted tire pressures and have started to tweak the rear blade sway bar. The results? She is sticking like glue to all the on/off ramps and street corners.
My only complaint thus far are the rear coil overs. They are just not up to the task and am now in talks with RSR.

GF Confronts The Spider!!
Today my GF wanted to have a chat with the Spider and find out what all this constant "testing" was about.
Well, the convo went back and forth for a bit and things got tense a couple times. But in the end, they both made up!!
Nothin' like having a GF that's cool with your mistress...and wants in on the action!!
