    Spider Gets Cornered.

Out late tonight and ran into a "situation". Let's just say two 5.0 stopped me for no other reason than, well, use your imagination.

Oh, and I just so happened to get it all on video. Imagine that.

    The roll-up:

Yeah, both are angled to give me zero blind spots. It took a bit of getting used to (looking at where the glove box was) to check for anyone. But they have been a huge help. No more looking over the shoulder.

Glad you understand, along with Aitch. You guys are of the minority. 'Cause what I do, as you've said, is not for the fame or notoriety. It's for me.

    Spider In Her Element

While the night vid cooks, this should tide you Spider followers over. No track. No racing rules. No BS. She's doing what she was built to be and do - a dedicated street burner.

I kept running out of road when just touching into third most of the time. But I more than made up for it on the over-runs, down shifts, "lean off throttle pops" and cams/ITB havoc!! Punch it up in 1080p HD for the truest sound and quality.

    Spider Update

Part 2 to the night vid had to be uploaded multiple times to YouTube. Seems like large files take some baby-sitting. At any rate, I will have that ready when it makes it through the process.

    Spider Details

Awhile ago I removed the chrome ring and spacer from an original 1969 Alfa Spider to fulfill a concept that I came up with. It's been a challenge to design this car and with every challenge, the question that lies at the forefront of my mind is, "How do I make this work with everything else".

That's how I approach every detail. This one is no exception. A simple ring, removed and it's spacer painted red, came from here:

    To being painted and assembled:

And implemented here. A very simple yet flowing shape the repeats the gauges. Yet stans on it's own as it's own piece as a steering column cover bezel.

One of my Bros said to me just today:

"To know this Spider, is to respect it. She's more Alfa than most would ever expect."

    Spider Night Teaser Vid

I shot this teaser vid last night with a couple of my Bros. There's a bit of drama involved and I wanted it very subtle. Look carefully. The lights and some sounds are all orchestrated.

    Watch in 1080p HD.

Don't get me wrong, I do understand I'm a photographer so I just want to point my lens at beautiful things and present them in the best way I can. But I know you get more than enough enjoyment building and driving the car and sharing those results yourself, and I'm more than happy to keep reading about your adventures!

    Spider Comes Full Circle!!

Tonight's test - Raise the bar on the vids.

One goal in mind; Showcase the Spider as only I envisioned her from the beginning. This is my celebration of an artistic piece of machinery. No music. No effects. Just the transition of my mind's eye...onto an SD card.

While the teaser vid cooks, here's a screen grab.

HAHA! Thanks soulfly. You're looking at the ONLY Alfa Romeo Spider with an Alfa 3.7L V6 Glenwood Motors engine. Along with over 76 original design tweaks/concepts not to be found on any other Spider. Worldwide.
