YAY! my adapters STILL arent here...sweeeeeeeeeeeeet

anyway, I'm cutting out my haggard passenger side rear quarter, and replacing it, and I bought an 04 sti rear bumper, looking for taillights, so that brings me to my next point. I'm going to end up painting the whole car sooner than later....soooo

Do I satin black it until winter when I repaint it properly (done properly...I think the car can REALLY pull it off) or since I spent all the effort prepping it to paint it, do I just re-do it the same color....

Between now and winter, I'll be painting my race car (datsun 510) so I'd like to use that as practice, before I tackle my daily driver, that's the only motivation to satin black it. Get practice and learn more before I do my daily.

ok, so this week, i got my new HSD coils on, dumped it, and rolled my fenders:

then I finished painting my v9 sti side skirts and fitted them:

then, I finished shaving my trunk, and painted it aswell..AND put it on.

    Base coat:

    cleared and on the car:

I shouldve been more patient with my sanding, as I didnt get all the deep scratches out, BUT i DID get the trunk flat, and matched all the radius` and used as little bondo as possible. I did it all myself, and I`m pretty stoked.

Adapters come this week, so I`ll be fitting the wheels, and also, fixing the front bumper fitment. Oh and getting me a rear bumper, and painting it.

    bam!

Can't expect too much from those 100$ coils I suppose, but definitely do get some pics of it with the wheels on!

    lil update.
I installed my $100 coilovers, and suprise. they were blown to all fuck. so i bought some new hsd's. They're now in, and I'll be rolling the fenders tonight. Then as soon as my spacers/adapters come in, the wheels will be going on. then i finish bodywork/making it pretty. so hopefully the wheels will be on by the end of the week!

Compared to spending 3, 4, 5k on wheels it's pretty budget minded. $1500 for wheels is pretty reasonable as far as I'm concerned. Plus if you read the rest of the thread, I'm either looking for deals on things, or doing things myself. I just happened to really want these wheels! lol

waiting on adapters and tires now (hopefully it wont take as long as the wheels. lol)

So I started painting my sti side skirts, and I shaved my trunk.
it was my first experience filling holes (i used to be a welder) and using bondo, and so far it came out mint! I have to thank my dad for the advice on the body work though!

    holes all welded up!

body work almost done and ready for spot puddy and primer!

I also do powdercoating so I'm contemplating what to do with these wheels!
i reinstate my previous statement. 1200 wheels isn't a budget build. especially if you need adapters on top of that.
