Sneek Peek of the new 540!

Went along and had a little play with my car today since i still aint brought it home!

Also need to go much lower but due to 245/50/18s they rub so need some 225's for strech and then i can get some mega lows

I also bought this.. ONE OFF! only one ever made custom

Strassentech Replica REAL Carbon splitter.. Made bigger tho with wider lip :

    Update :

Today i got back on my rear axle at work first thing.. Started rebuilding it back up,

    Custom Camber Arms Refited :

    2.93 LSD Fitted :

    PollyBushes Axle Bushes Fitted :

Also done trailing arm bushes but furgot to take a picture of that.

Next axle was refited to the car rear for the hubs, Driveshafts & Prop to be refited also :

Brakes need renewed but i will be upgrading rear to E46 330 Conversion when i fit my Brembo 4Pot front calipers.

Basicly thats everything done on the LSD fitting side of things need another drivesaft that i will collect at the weekend due to it being damaged but realy that is it.

While the car was on the ramps we decided to adjust my camber arms to see how much camber i could get as i had not yet set it to what i wanted :

May have adjusted them out to much?!!

Apart from that i will adjust them to how i want them once i fit the other shaft and get my 18x10J Rondells on

Now just some random pics of the car in the workshop from before i left tonight!

    Another Update :

    New Car Purchased :

    1988 (F)

    Bmw E30 316 - 1.8 Carb
    Schwartz (Black)

    78,000 Miles
1 Family from new, 2 Owners in same family
    Garaged for 23 years
    immaculate condition

Last wedensday past i was browsing the net for a daily driver and i came across this perfect example of a E30.

Complete base model.. no Cassete, Electric Windows.. Nothing!
Was at a great price that i could not say no to so 1000Mile round road trip later and 52Hours without sleep by the friday of the same week i had been to south of london and collected myself a cracking E30 316

Couple from the day of pick up :

On the way back up the road :

The plan for this car is since its an absoloute minter of a shell im going to reshall a 325Sport in to the car and keep it mint.. Make it as concourse as possible as ive always wanted and incredible E30 325Sport but finding one as clean as this shell is nearly imposible without spending way to much money. well more than im prepaird to pay for a E30 thats not an M3

Underneath of the shell is like brand new new seen wet roads i dont think always garaged and keep in A1 condition.
Has lot of main dealer history from the exact dealer the car was purchased from in 1988 also.

    Comments Welcome.

My mate purchased this a few days later.

    1987 (E)

    Bmw E30 320 Auto
    Delphine Silver

Quite clean, but worth every penny he paid.

    UPDATE :

Finaly got around to fitting my LSD today.. Run in to a few complications along the way which i will now tell you about.

Yesterday i have removed my diff alone and fitted it to a 318iS that was in at work for a replacement diff due to his deciding to colapse. So i replaced it with mine for a small fee since mines was coming out anyway for the slipper.

So today while i was removing all the old bushes from my new axle. (328 Axle) The gaffer started striping my camber adjustable rear arms and such like from my exsisting axle.

Later to find after removing the bushes from the new axle trailing arm i had managed to misshape the hole for the bush with the arm and crack it slightly :

(Wooops.. I accidently was hitting it to hard while pressing it out to free it up it went oval)

Shortly after i removed my axle from the car :

Not to fear tho, We end up striping down my old axle thats minus the 318 diff to use that trailing arm and hub with the 328 drive shaft

This became more of a pain than original thought.. One of the 328 drive shafts that we needed did not want to be removed and eventualy it came out but this time the thread that the hub nut screws on to where damaged and the shaft is no good.. so we had i think of where to pick up another shaft but during this came accross another problem. This axle hubs/Wheelbairns will have done hell of a lot more miles than mines so it end up coming down to strip both axles of everything and use,

    E36 328 Carrier
    E36 328 2.93 LSD
    E36 328 Shafts
E36 318 Hubs & Trailing Arms (From my previous axle)

In the process of striping axles.

So inbetween other jobs that go on today we managed to get my axle out, both striped and ready to be built back up and then fitted with LSD to my 328.
So when i left tonite the E36 was sitting like this :

    Update :

Thought it was about time to come back on and let you all know whats been happening with the car lately. Started working @ Chizfab within the last couple months, So not a lot has changed on the car due to working alot of hours but the E36 is in the diary to have more mods done very soon. But ive since gave the car a good few cleans, Detail'd & Claybar'd it trying to get it back up to Standerd

I have also purchased yet another couple sets of wheels..

    18x8.5J & 18x10J Et13 Rondell's

These are going to be my main wheels but doing some more arch mod's to front and back to make them fit perfect and make the arches look much beter pulled

    17x8.5J Et13 Schnitzers

Also since the last time i have posted there is a new addition to my
car collection im sure you's will like very much aswell!
