the rolling shots are sick, I think I liked it better when it was the army green, but I still love the way it looks now too.

the first few pics i couldnt tell it was this car, and i was about to leave the thread til i saw the green, then i knew what ride it was. SICK work man!
much appreciated! I've actually been on here for like a year now, just lurked a lot at first. the car was slammed, but lacked fitment. this car in the army green chalk phase is actually how i came to meet and eventually move in with Mike

they make bulletproof cars man. awesome gas mileage, easy to work on, dirty cheap, and the parts are always readily available and cheap in any junkyard ever.

BTW, do you have pics of top hats mounted in the engine bay? How does the spring sit without the spring seat of the top hat (might be a noob question, I apologize in advance )?
i couldn't find a pic... but basically i bought another set of top hats, pressed all the studs out, and mounted one at the top of those bolts while leaving the other under the fender well to hold the spring. i bored out the bottom hat so that the strut can actually pass into the engine bay and mounted it on the upper top hat so that travel is extended. i almost tuck tire at full suspension sag and this setup also allowed me to adjust some preload into the spring. i'll see if i can get one up at some point and just add it to the first post.
