  • 1989 Civic LX Build

So, I bought this little joy on 11/8. Bought it because my MKV is a piece of shit and got tired of the car payments. Drove it from Clayton to Seven Springs then to Wilmington and had no problems except the oil light flicker on and off from time to time.

It has roughly 160,000. the motor hazes a little when you first start it, but its a 21 year old car and I dont expect it to be prefect.

I've already order new window regulators for both of the front windows. the driver's side works. but it stops 3/4 of the way down. the passenger's side doesn't move at all.

I've also order a new driver's side front fender, new hood, front bumper, rear bumper and oem shocks/struts. they are pretty much blown. but the car doesnt ride like shit by any means.

I'm not planning on getting too crazy with this build. Just make the car as clean as possible.

    New wheels
moar low- im alreay just below 20"
respary- i love the original color so i plan on keeping it
new coils- maybe the ebay coils ride amazing well
    rebuild motor or D15b vtec
    a lot of suspension work
    wire tuck and shaved bay.

I dont want to go MADJDMYO on this. but throw out some ideas

            it looks very good!
love the color combo between body and wheels!
Where do they come from they seem to be so slim! it looks like some Beetle wheels... in different!
Can't wait to see the progress you plan!
it seems to not need so much work from the pics!

It needs very little work. Ill probably put another 2k into it and call it a day. and yes they are old bettle wheels. theyre sit just about flush with the fenders and they are 5" wide.

there are a few rust spots. and the rear and front bumper are a little rough but you wont catch me riding around in anything haggard
