First off everyone, I want to say sorry for not updating in awhile. I know a lot of you check this often so i'm sorry if i've been disappointing you dudes. I'm living in Vancouver now, and the reason why there haven't been many updates are that... well it's hard to admit this but I don't have a full-time job right now. Like they say, it's all who you know, and I hardly know anybody in Vancouver, so It's been a few months of eating bags of 99 cent perogies and 48 packs of eggo waffles from walmart. Also, when i first moved here I didn't have a place with a garage, or parking. That means I couldn't ship the COTD out here, and now that I DO have a garage, I don't have the $2000 it would cost to ship the car across the country. On top of all that, once I got the meisters, I started trying to take them apart with shitty cast sockets from walmart, which broke. When i went to return a backpack full of them on my skate, I bailed and broke my collarbone. Since i don't have a health card atm, that means paying $180 to see a doctor to get it looked at. He asked if I wanted to get it x-rayed for and I said "fuck that" because i didn't want to spend more money. I bought a bottle of aspirin and settled with not being able to shit with my crippled arm for 3 weeks .

So that's the deal for right now. it's been almost five months since i've seen my car, and not having the COTD with me makes me feel more crippled than this busted arm.

That fucking Chicago thread is ridiculous. How can they say they are the first "death squad" and how do they think you were trying to be associated with them? None of there cars are styled to be "evil" or "dark" or "sinister" or anything like that. They just have multicolored cars and have a sticker. That whole thread is just bashing Canadians. IN REGARDS TO JDMC (JDM Chicago) and the "other" Death Squad:

Please don't think for a second that I dislike chicago. Some of the best people on here (and not on here *CHOUGH* vegas wilson *COUGH*) live in chicago and the surrounding area, and I've made a lot of friends from there though this forum. I actually made an account on JDMC because they posted a pic of the COTD and some forum members were stoked on it. I made a couple of posts talking to them and it was all good.

Then the bizarro universe DS stepped in and tried to lay claim that they had the rights to the name "death squad" and tried to attack me personally.

They have about as much right to say they exclusively own that name, as I have a right to say I invented painting cars black. Here’s how I want to sum it all up:
1) Don’t take yourself too seriously, especially on the internet.
2) If you act like a tough guy, I’m not going to take you seriously either. You’re typing words on your computer, on an internet forum, about cars.

I just got my new project a few weeks ago (97 SC300 5spd) and plan to start my build asap. I was going to get some wide meisters and paint them bronze too, now it looks like I have to pick a different colour or wheel so as to not be called a copy cat haha. i feel your pain bro, when i was at uni (for 5 years) and building my bmw, i would drive home each break (7 hours) to work on it. you should see if a vehicle transporting company would do you sponsorship or a deal in exchange for exposure on here. it might be a long shot but worth a try. with almost 100,000 thread views so far, thats a fair bit of advertising for them as more people follow the build.

my vote is you get some sandpaper and polish those barrels, make two rear wheels and then when you get the COTD delivered, you get it going asap and rock mismatched-but-horrendously-badass wheel combo till you can save up for legit new dish's on all fours. thats just my 2c

ps. ill be unemployed in a week too... thats life though, sometimes to take three steps forward, you've got to take one back and hang out for a little bit
