          • Like they say: "If you ain't rubbin', you ain't racin' "

So I changed the sizing in the rear after one tire unseated at some point while i was driving:

My rear set-up used to be 255/35 and now i've thrown on some 245/40's which are noticeably more baloony. The added sidewall height means it rubs even more (which i like, but it limits my ride height) so I'm going to have to get some custom made adj. control arms made for the front and rear so i can increase my camber. I'm putting 225/40's on the front today, so that should reduce a lot of the rub on full lock i'm having and also make room in the wheel well for a bit more low.

I bought some pirelli p-zero's in 225/40 from the fucking SKETCHIEST guy yesterday:

Tires are in good condition other than a nick in the bead that i fixed before leaving them to be mounted.

            OKAY EVERYONE IT'S STORY TIMEEEE

I buy a lot of tires off kijiji/craigslist and i've met some pretty strange people, a couple of nice dudes, and the occasional serial rapist. The guy i bought these tires from would happen to fall into the latter most category. Here's a little list of weird stuff he did:
            1. Looked almost exactly like Cosmo Kramer from Seinfeld
            2. said "hey man you look pretty FAST AND FURIOUS"
            3. pointed to a random porsche 944 that drove by and said "that's a personal friend of mine" even though the driver didn't wave back.
            4. kept asking to get in my car
            5. kept lifting up his shirt and touching his bare chest/stomach
            6. was completely tweaked out and wouldn't make eye contact
            7. when i asked about the damage on one of the tire beads he cut me off and said "BUDDY THESE ARE PIRELLIS THEY'LL DO IT ALL"
            8. pointed to the amount of poke my car has and the fender rub and started yelling "ILLEGAL, THATS ILLEGAL MAN, THOSE THINGS ARE ILLEGAL"
            9. said my car is "boarderline" (what the fuck does that even MEAN?)
            10. here's the icing on the cake: he asked me if i had a girlfriend, and before i could reply he said "man, any girl that rides in THIS thing would be fun as hell to fuck! SHE WOULD BE CRAZY TO FUCK" which kind of made me barf a bit because this dude was HAGGARD and seemed like he was maxed out on meth.

So i bought the obviously stolen tires from this kramer-esque crackhead and got the fuck outta there to roll my friend's fenders.

I also got around to doing some dorky engine painting:

            Also painted the rear calipers:

Front's are off to mount the tires today:

and here's some inspiration for the interior:

That's it for right now. My order for the corbeau seat brackets was cancelled because JC Whitney didn't have them in stock (thanks ya ding-dongs ) so i'll have to wait to put those seats in. If anyone knows of a Corbeau distributor in Canada please post them up here! I'd like to stop using those seats as living room decorations.

            • Holy fuck dude, I have some similar shady-cat craigslist stories. Car looks killer, I have always liked the direction this thing was going in. It's pretty damn sick.

              • love the thread man. I use to have an 89 Turbo. Also for you to run an 18x15, even with flares on top of overfenders, 5* of camber and a 305 it would have to be around +10

oh well, I was anticipating this happening anyway since the dude was so sketchy. i got the pirelli's for $80 so i effectively got one working tire out of it. i'll go buy another tire to replace that one tomorrow maybe.

When you deal with human scum, you've gotta accept the consequences haha!

Somebody needs to give you a very high paying job so the rest of us can continue procrastinating from whatever we do and keep reading your build thread

                              Mad props.
