looks good. roll the black hood for a while, or paint the next one you get black since that one doesnt fit properly.

Mike I'll pm you the tire sizes

I introduce you to the new stage of the HWY HNTR

    The Frakenstein stage

I have AMG wheels that are going on but they're not finished yet. Gonna get a period correct hood soon, one up in Moultrie so that's that. I have that little trim piece that goes beneath the right headlamp that needs to go on. Gonna try to get a lip and a fresh paint job (one color not the factory two tone, but will still be silver), getrag, blah blah blah, no I don't have any money from the insurance co., no I didn't get to use any of it for the car, yes I took forever, yes it's not clean anymore, yes I planned on using the rack when I bought it almost a year ago when it got wrecked, idk what else, onto pics.

    the messed up diesel fender

air inlet to intake box/headlamp surround-fixed with this super glue from the MB dealer

    ruined radiator

radiator a friend gave me fro free, thanks Alex :3

    random broken pieces

condenser...amazed it doesn't leak and it still works

one of the fans was stuck from being pushed in from the accident

so I actually fixed it and put it back together

My coolant bottle was broke and leaking

But luckily it wasn't even a year since my last one broke so I got a new one for free

I ended up buying a parts car with nothing practically on it and nothing working for around $300 and used a bunch of stuff of it like pulleys, came with a bumper and impact strip so I'm gonna paint them and replace mine, and etc so ya. Feels good to be back on the road with it. I'll try to get the AMG wheels on it asap and the new hood and trim pieces back on. I'm gonna try to not get in an accident again before next year so I can come out to the S/W meets (was totally planning on it last year Christmas when that bitch ran into me)

+1 about the turbo deisel fender, would kill for one of those for a w201.

also do you remember the tire size that were on those monoblocks?

also just finding it, sorry to hear bout the wreck. as a benz owner (and an owner of a c36 swapped benz, w201) i know it sucks because any little wreck can be considered a total. and it was too bad that it was on that turbo diesel fender! those things are pretty rare, at least for the w201, not so sure on the w124

well the first thing I was going to do was swap in my C36 motor, so it shouldn't be too bad

Looks nice, I'm sad that the coups never came with V8's. A 500E coupe swap would be sick. Do the fenders and everything.

So my car is totaled, and I'm now waiting to get my title back from esurance or the gov't or whoever has it (ya it's been 3 months) so I've been looking for an E320 coupe to replace it with. Well yesterday I went to go look at this car: http://orlando.craigslist.org/cto/2250122066.html what a pile of crap. It had rust all over it that was painted over to try to hide it I guess. Had scratches all over it. Looked like it was painted two different color codes of black. Had cheap Chinese tail lights. Had era incorrect front turn signals (the full amber ones, not the clear/yellow). The trunk wouldn't sit right with the rest of the body (accident obviously) there were wires hanging inside the trunk/under the car. Interior smelled like food, front right passenger seat didn't move, driver seat sat at a tilt, it also had about a hole with a 8 inch diameter missing out of the seat. Had the check engine light on, wouldn't idle, the gas pedal/throttle would stick. Had fake sportline badges on it, had CLK wheels on it (which he then claimed were special sportline E320 coupe wheels, and then proceeded to tell me that his coupe was the only one that had bucket seats in the back only because it was a sportline coupe. I'm sure there is more that I'm forgetting. Well needless to say I was furious both at him lying and being ignorant and me driving 3 hours with cash to come buy it.

So now I might go take a look at this car, what do you guys think?

it looks cherry, only gripe with it is I would like to paint the bottom moldings the same color so the whole car is one color

Doom is imminent, I can feel it closing in, suffocating me.

Ya, the damage isn't catastrophic or anything, it's just that I already have a "real" project car (that I haven't put up a thread for yet ) so I really don't have the room/space/money/time for another project, plus I need something to go back and forth from school. I've already tried to convince my roommates to let me make it a salvage and do a zombie genre on it but I can't win. May be getting into a SEC or another W124 that we have sitting around.

Honestly that hit doesn't look that bad. From here I see a hood, fender, headlight, bumper and a radiator support (radiator if that's coolant on the ground). The body stuff can be grabbed yourself at a junkyard; for the rad support, find a friend with a welder and go to town. I'd say $1000 at the most if you do it yourself.
