had some time at work today, so i made up a cover panel with some old grilles for the sub. its far from perfect, but itll do the job of stopping stuff from falling in the hole for now

              • cheers dude, nose panel and a second set of grilles(that ill get painted bodycolour) arrived today. hopefully drop it all off for paint tomorrow. then hopefully by the time its all painted, my other parts are in and i can assemble the new front end.

no pics of nose panel because well, its an unpainted panel, and 2 i picked it up after work, was too dark for photos, and i munted the old c/f lip some more getting out of the shop :p #nofucksgivenanymore

                • so i bought a replacement reo bar months back for the alpina front bumper, so i could swap bars with ease. only problem was, being a steel reo, it was way thinner than the oem one, so the plastic push clips that hold the bumper skin on wouldnt hold in tight, so the whole bumper was loose. i threw it in the shed and left it.

well, ive decided i want to use it for the new bumper setup(you'll see why later on), so i had to rectify the clip issue. i considered using bolts, but 1. id have to grind down the head to clear the bump strips, and 2. the clips have saved my bumpers from being torn apart numerous times, because the clips pop out with enough force.

so new plan, weld some nuts to the back of each hole, and drill out to the right diameter. the clips will bite in properly, and still give way when they need to.

also, bumper and other bits are at painters, and should be done by the time my other bits arrive that im waiting for.
