So, we've been getting a bit of work done on our car, just haven't made time to post on here what's been going down, first a quick pic of before i sold the car to the fool that ruined it,

            i mean...
gave us a reason to "fix it"

            Photobucket

luis pulled out the engine in a day which gave me an ample amount of space to remove all the other little attachments on the firewall.
(I swear we have a jar filled with 10mm bolts, they're everywhere.)

            Photobucket

            stripped.

            Photobucket

and this harness, man it's almost as long as my...

            driveway.

            Photobucket

dash, harness, blower assembly SRS everything removed

            Photobucket

also finished removing the Rad support, so we could get rid of the JDM clip's leftovers.

            Photobucket

threw it on real quick to surprise 'ol boy when ever he arrived.

            Photobucket

now to remove the windshield, we bought a cheap "windshield removing tool" from Harbor Freight, which was absolutely helpless so i found what i believe was some of the throttle cable that was cut in our JDM clip, tied some paint brushes on each end and started to "saw" it off, tried doing it alone but was to strenuous, so when Luis showed up we knocked it out in a few minutes.

            Photobucket

grinded off all the windshield glue/ sealer/ adhesive/ urethane whatever its called for a fresh surface whenever re-install, wrote in the "dust" too.

            Photobucket

we clean our work area twice a day when ever we work on it, we're a bit Anal and can't concentrate when there's a mess.

            Photobucket

idk if you guy's noticed what we're using to suspend the car in the air but they're like black plastic boxesused to transport A/C compressors or something like that from Ford idk, (his dad has a bunch just laying in the back yard) but they work pretty good.

since there was no weight up front the car leaned back pretty far so we decided to slide the Black plastic jack stands further in so it could be more level.

            Photobucket

            Photobucket

now the car is ready to drill out the weld!

            -_______-

            or use a torch?

Looks like a fun project. You lucked out with getting everything you needed with the clip. Def makes the swap easier.

                      UPDATES

So we got a hold of an Oxy-Acetylene outfit...
                      Photobucket

                      Pretty Dangerous method of transportation
                      Photobucket

started work, we deciced to torch out most of the firewall, then grind down the spotwelds so we didint bend or damage any of the USDM's mounting points, the torching really wasnt necessary but we just to get it out of the way,

                      Photobucket

Fitted and all, plug welded everywhere I had previously drilled out a spot weld and decided to just run a bead along the whole framerail,
Using Flux Cored wire which is supposed to be a NO-NO for Automotive applications but meh, it's working. and Flux Cored almost aways looks ugly.

                      Photobucket

that little clump of weld near the bottom is due to filling in a hole caused from too much heat and burning through :P
                      this stuff is thin.

Nice to see you're sorting out the factory errors (Steering wheel coming out the factory on the wrong side of the car) . Good luck with it all!
