  • Hey! ITT: Altima Coupe Progress

    Hi,

I'm new to the site so I wanted to introduce my car.

It's a 2008 Nissan Altima 2door, autotragic CVT, fail wheel drive and 4cyl, but I love it regardless.

First mods were Stillen front end, Eibach springs and Enkei RPF1's 18x8.5+30 and 18x9.5+45, among other things.

Car looked like this for a while:

I got tired of the rice front and desperately wanted to go lower. Sold the front and the RPF1's in favor of BC Racing coil overs and Rota Advan RS knockoffs in 18x9 +30.

Got my rear fenders trimmed and lowered it about an inch.

    Here's how it sits currently:

My tires are too fat. 245/45/18, and combined with too much poke in the front I can't go lower until I get smaller tires. Im thinking 235/35/18

Other suspension mods are Stillen rear sway bar and front strut bar.

It's not a fast car by any means, but it's a lot of fun in the hills! It doesn't understeer unless pushed very hard, and torque steer isn't an issue cause lolnotorque.

What do you guys think? I'm relatively new to the flush/stance scene and would like some advice!

Looks good, I really really like the new Altima Coupes.

As far as opinion, I think larger diameter wheels to reduce the tire profile would help enormously. Like, 19-20". Think G35.

But if you're keeping these, I'd just think of ways to tuck a bit of tire while keeping the 245s, for an aggressive "trackish" look. Use those wonderful camber plates up front to give yourself more room.

I think you're crazy for moving from RPF1's to Rotas! But it's coming along none the less.

nice to see another altima on the boards, there are just a few of us floating around. i would have kept the rpfs and spaced them out and slammed it. i know you can go lower, but its a good start.

I like the idea of keeping 245... Maybe 245/35/18? I will def dial more negative camber in the front once I go lower!

Cool! I'll lurk for pics of your A/C. Do you post on NicoClub?

I still think RPF1's are fantastic, I needed money for moar drop though haha. I actually kept the center caps (damn things cost $30 each) because I will get RPF1's again one day

            So I got smaller tires,

            235/40/18 on 9in wheels

I have MUCH more clearance in the wheel well now, I didn't think there would be suck a huge difference.

I'll be lowering it by ~.5in

Work place has a monumentally failure driveway that I have to climb

            Pic of said clearance

What do you guys think so far?
